lets look at the left over QB hungry teams: Seattle Bills Cards Skins 49ers Oakland Bengals It would be stunning if the big 3 (dalton, mallett, kaepernick) left don't go to 3 of those teams. Now you have 4 left. Palmer likely gone and Kolb traded at some point so in reality you have 2 left with us for next year's Luck sweepstakes. With only 3 teams really needing QBs (4 maybe if colt mccoy doesn't pan our or 5 if tebow is done) aren't we in a better position next year for a QB than now?
I wouldn't be surprised to see Mallett go undrafted....in fact..i'd be surprised if a team selected him today at all
we can't do it all in a year. Pouncey was the right choice @ 15a veteran QB acquisition on the cheap would give us competition @ the position until we can afford to go after the right guy for the franchise. next year's draft should be for QB's
While I suppose I agree with what you are saying... In all honesty... what the hell is this?... its absolutely ridiculous to have it spaced left, right, center... I can handle the colors somehow even though I don't want to... but this is just ridiculous. Smarten up. Sorry, but it has to be said...
I'm really pleased to see everyone agrees with my position on the offensive line & QB's in 2011: I've been posting the same opinion since the end of last season. sometimes you have to choose between form & substance it is what it is
Impossible to know who will be in the market for a QB in 2012 without seeing how the 2011 season shakes out. A team taking a QB this year does not mean they won't be in the market for one next year. See: Panthers. Also who knows what veterans retire, start suckin' wind, get cranky and not want to play anymore. There will be plenty of QB hungry teams next year too. That's why when you have a need you have to address it sooner rather than later. For what it's worth, I'm ok with Pouncey. If Ireland didn't think Mallet or Dalton was an upgrade over Henne might as well solidify the line. Better than burning the pick on a RB in round 1, IMO.
wouldn't rule Vince Young completely out of the running, that could be a mistake... remember Vick? second chances, second beginnings sometimes pan out especially for the physically talented think about it
Friend brandon27: quit whining man-up you sound like a house wife on the rag when I post, you will always find substance & entertainment within the form just a passing thought: wonder what the Canadians have to offer in the way of Offensive Linesmen & QB's in 2011?
We will just have to wait until next year to draft a QB in the 1st round. Grabbing a very good young Center is a good move.
Maybe the Pats will be ready to draft Brady's heir next year and will probably have the picks to trade wherever they want in the draft to get him. How sad would that be for the Pats to end up with Andrew Luck?
And you sound like a broken record. Over and over and over again. Sorry for trying to help maybe take you off some of the ignore lists around here. But you've finally made mine, and I'm apparently not alone. Im glad I'll miss your next post where you'll thank me for putting you on ignore because thats my choice, or some other crap like that. Awesome. I know I wont be missing anything.
honestly man, the QBs in this draft suck. you helped the interior Oline, great. Now get a Rb and maybe a TE somewhere and lets give Henne another chance. Its not going to be a popular move but taking a mediocre QB just because we supposedly need one is stupid. If henne fails big time, he fails big time and we're in position to get Luck or Barkely next season. THOSE guys are worth going after. Not any of these guys. (That includes all the guys already taken)
to an attention whore: when you want to use the ignore button, use it. its there to avoid annoyance, conflicts, whatever. having said that its purpose has nothing to do with the adolescent solicitation of attention nor the provocation of fellow members to a bad end on the forum your transparency is only exceeded by your lack of class think about it...
Anybody feeling a Davone Bess for Carson Palmer trade? I think Camarillo and Jacoby Jones could replace the dude in a more effective offense. Something like: QB- Palmer H-Back- Kendricks FL- Jones, Wallace SL- Marshall, Moore SE- Hartline, Camarillo
No. Bess is a top slot reciever, yes QBs are more important but Palmer is getting up there in age and truth be told I doubt the Bengals even trade him. Their owner is nuts and probably would rather pay out his contract without Palmer playing than to see Palmer happy.
would love to see Palmer in a Dolphin uniform. it would be the ultimate "quick fix" for the 2012 season.
