You know...I like this idea Todd. See! We can agree on something! Seriously though, I wouldn't mind this at all. I wonder if Brian Daboll has the creativity that Sean Payton did in using Reggie though. I mean he'd need half of his touches out of the passing game--at least. Even with a Hilliard/Bush backfield, there needs to be an investment at the RB position. Carter, Thomas...I'm not big on Taiwan Jones, even with that 40 number.
I love the optimism. I hope for the same. However, I'm not hedging my bet on anything Henne anymore. Also, I disagree with the spread out notion. Him dropping back, making reads, having to use his awareness of the pocket, accuracy within zone packages, are not his forte. I think they're giving Henne the best chance at survival by installing a running game, one that isn't solely predicated on power but has the ability to move the chains and get big chunk yardage. However, I think you're correct in they need to give him another weapon or two--TE, RB, or WR. Agree with it all, not the spread portion.
Who moves like Drew Bledsoe. If he falls to the late 2nd, I wouldn't be opposed to a trade up, but no way was he worth the 15th pick overall. Pouncy was the right pick b/c they couldn't find a trade down partner.
