I don't like to do this without a link, but I'm at work and I can't access any of the social networking sites to get a source.

I was on facebook with my phone and the Dolphins Bandits are posting messages that Jason LaConfora is reporting Dolphins are trying to trade into the second round to get a QB. They also posted another rumour that it is the Pats they are trying to trade with.

    Can anyone confirm this?

Looks like were maybe trying to get a shot at Dalton or Kaepernick?

Im sure this will make alot of people happy if true. I dont particularly like the idea since we have so many other needs, and so few picks this year as it is. Be interesting to see what happens though.

Hope someone out there can confirm it?

I really hope we don't give up next years first. I would be extremely pissed.

wouldn't surprise me. We want Kaepernick. Its probably the most translucent we've ever been about a prospect.

If so I hope for Mallet, and hope not for next years 1st.

I don't see anyone to trade up for. I'd rather stay put and get Stanzi if you're going to get a QB, to be honest.

first i've heard of it,,,, wouldn't make me happy to move up and get either of those two prospects, heck i'd prolly be happier moving up for mallet and there must be something about mallet that really scares teams cause he has talent and a big arm. maybe take yates later and hope he pans out.

If the FO gives up next years 1st, they should have just selected that player at 15.

    Instead...We took a guard.

Gettin Ryan Mallett would make me happy though.

Exactly. This staff better not put our future on the line in an attempt to save their asses. We could have Luck or another hot QB prospect if we struggle again this year.

If it is the Patriots, what else woudl it be than next years first?

Unless it is this year's third and next year's second.

I am against this. It's stupid.

Another bargain bin 2nd rounder QB. NO thanks. He won't amount to anything.

We need to spend a 1st rounder on a legit, all world talent, college QB prospect next year. If the fins do trade into the 2nd, I hope it's to fix other needs. Not QB.

This reminds me, what the hell happened to Pat White? Enough of the 2nd round QB's. John Beck, wasn't Chad Henne also a 2nd rounder? Enough. Don't piss away a pick like this, especially if we have to TRADE to piss it away.

I don't see it happening. Not worth it either. I would lose so much respect for this front office, even after the Pouncey pick, which I liked.

This year's 3rd and next year's 2nd is a horrible, horrible move to grab a 2nd tier bargain bin QB.

If we want our franchise QB, it's going to have to come in the 1st round of the draft.

So if Miami took Ryan Mallet at 15 he is a franchise. If he is selected in the 2nd he is horrible.

    Got it.

Anyone else think the Pats may be interested in Ricky? I do.

I hope the Dolphins don't give him to the Pats. I'm tired of seeing Miami players wearing a Pats uniform and tearing the Dolphins a new ***.

You're acting like a little child. You take the opinion from some fans, then paste it on another fan.

I never said for the Fins to take Mallet. In fact, I only started posting again here today, after many months being gone.

Enough with your trolling. I am among the fans who don't like any of the QB's in this draft at #15. I am content with the OLine pick, and realize we have to wait until next year 1st round to pick a real QB.

I agree, trading a 2012 first to get some clearance rack QB makes no sense. I'd only trade up, into the mid-late 2nd if one either Leshoure or Williams slides that far, a 3 this year and a 2 next year oughta do it.

    PLEASE. NO.

I never want to trade future picks again. The more I think about it I really want to stay clear of QB this year until at least the 6th or 7th round. If we round out our team with this draft Henne will have all the tools to succeed at QB, but if not in the next draft we could trade the farm for Luck or another top QB.

I would just let the 2nd round pass and worry about the 3rd round.

Keep all of our future picks and start fresh. Enough tampering with future drafts.

That's not a bad option either. But if we dont get a stud back out of the draft, we'll probably be stuck overpaying for one in FA b/c Hilliard and Sheets = EPIC FAIL.

If we lose our 1st next year for any qb left on the board it is going to seriously F up my weekend. I will not give a crap about any other draft pick we get in this draft and probably not give a crap about any dolphin news for atleast 3 months. Thats how bad of a pick it would be. Even worse than the first round pick we used on Jason Allen. If we wanted a future qb then why not trade up from 15 to grab Ponder or Gabbert?

NO TRADE UPS!!!! We should have traded out of first round for a first rounder next year and this years second. 2 first round and a second rounder = Luck at #1!!!

With ya on this bro....I think Leshoure goes to St.Louis in the 2nd, then I hate to say it, but Ryan Williams could go to the Pats at the end of the 2nd, so they would have to jump ahead of the Pats at the end, which is doable....and should only cost them picks THIS year.....

What are the concerns about Mallett, 1st round talent, off field problems? If so he'd be the only player I'd be happy with if we trade up and would make me feel ok about Pouncey too.
