Haha, wouldn't be surprised if Parcells starts offering Ted Ginn, Ronnie Brown, and John Beck in a multi-team trade to acquire Manningham, Hart, and Arrington.

I can see him being used in short yardage situations as well as a Te, the spot he played in HS, and to be honest, I've got a felling about the guy, when a big man is athletic, Teams tend to find ways to keep them around, look how long Alabi and Toledo stuck around for example, his speed to power ration is impressive with 27 reps teaming with 4.9 speed, and it may be heresy, but Guard's don't have to be the technicians that Tackles and Centers have to be, they have to be athletic, and they have to anchor and get to the second level.

I haven't gushed about a player this much since I spent the last draft defending Samson Satele, and he was praised to high heaven for his movement on sweeps, well Donald Thomas is over a half second faster then Samson is.

I've heard that he doesn't have enough sand in his bucket to really anchor down against the inside p-rushers, or that if he doesn't get his hands on them, he has trouble, that is why my new sigline is what is....:hi5:

I wanted Barry Booker over the DT we drafted. Barry though is more of a pass rushing 3/4 DE I guess we wanted Run stopping.

    at your sig

You're right though about teams finding ways to keep players they really want to develop and I think if he can play special teams well then he'll be kept for that. That will definitely buy him time. Good points about the spot situations too. Man I would love for him to develop into a Satele like talent

Actually Dotson right now is more of a pass rusher also. He'll need to bulk up to anchor against the run and learn better technique. Dont know Booker. Pretty good? Maybe Parcells doesnt want anyoine named Booker on his team

And that sig is the cleaned up version of what was actually said...

I should like Murphy more then I currently do, for some reason the guy does nothing for me, he could be a RT next year if or when Vern Carey pulls stumps, Thomas could catch fire in TC and start a few preseason games, and then we will see.

    Right now our Oline is:

Vern Carey, Murphy, Satele, Smiley, J Long

We have maybe 4 extra lineman including Thomas, Mormino and a couple of UDFa's..and for me Mormino as depth makes more sense then Mormino as starter...

Booker is a quick DT, has nice explosion. I know he is quicker and faster than Dotson. Maybe they think Dotson can grow into his frame and be a NT?

He can move around the line but I think he'll end up a 3-4 DE

I think if Dotson was the same height as Booker Booker would have been the pick. Both have a non stop motor but Booker is quicker.

He went undrafted which is kind of surprising. I don't think he has character flaws, has a great work ethic, great motor on the football field, and is surprisingly quick. I hope the Jets or Pats don't bring him in.

Nevermind Booker is 6'4 like Dotson. I'm not sure why Booker wasn't drafted.

Maybe, we will need a C/G type for depth, though Drew at Center is a work in progress..

Now for a cheer they are here, triumphant!
Here they come with banners flying,
    In stalwart step they're nighing,
    With shouts of vict'ry crying,
We hurrah, hurrah, we greet you now, Hail!

    Far we their praises sing
For the glory and fame they've brought us
Loud let the bells them ring
For here they come with banners flying
    Far we their praises tell
For the glory and fame they've brought us
Loud let the bells them ring
For here they come with banners flying
    Here they come, Hurrah!

    Hail! to the victors valiant
    Hail! to the conqu'ring heroes
    Hail! Hail! to Michigan
    The leaders and best!
    Hail! to the victors valiant
    Hail! to the conqu'ring heroes
    Hail! Hail! to Michigan,
    The champions of the West!

    We cheer them again
    We cheer and cheer again
For Michigan, we cheer for Michigan
We cheer with might and main
    We cheer, cheer, cheer
With might and main we cheer!

    Hail! to the victors valiant
    Hail! to the conqu'ring heroes
    Hail! Hail! to Michigan,
    The champions of the West!

LOL. WTF is "we cheer with might and main"? How do you cheer with main? What does that even mean?

I don't know, it's over 100 years old  I can't wait to see if any modern music makes it that far into the future. I'd love to have someone turn to their coworker and say, "what the hell does getting them boys on rock rock mean?" :sidelol::sidelol:

I'm hoping he gets to compete with Satele, and it's possible he could win that C spot. Mormino supposedly was a very good drive blocker in college.

    From the dolphinsendzone:

"A physically imposing drive blocker, Mormino started at offensive guard earlier in his career and has been a major reason the team featured a 1,000-yard rusher in three of his last four seasons."
