pouncy nice safe big, good addition, OL better with him. Couldn't trade down so if we wanted him it was there or nowhere.

I am in Nebraska and went to K-State so saw a few of their games this year. KSU sucked. Their QB sucked they had one decent WR and their OLine was mediocre, but Thomas was a beast. Every team knew he was going to run, but they couldn't stop him. He is slippery but not really super quick. He is a good addition. Had to trade up to get him, likely NE would have with their 3rd round pick, rumor was Cincy was going to take him with their 3rd round pick.

The Mallett issue. I am glad if anyone got him it was New England. Why you may ask. Because he can't hurt us. If he takes over after Brady in what 3-4 years he won't be as good because Brady is Great. Unless he pulls an Aaron Rodgers for Brett Favre maneuver but I don't see. They likely will have to cut someone decent if they want to keep all their backups at QB. Their IMO best scenerio is they trade him down the road for a 1st or 2nd round pick ala Matt Cassel. This is if he pans out. So at least we don't need to have him do great in 1-2 years and kick our ***, but if he does it just means Brady isn't. I would rather play Mallett than Brady any day. And they didn't address their need at rushing the passer.

Is it just me or does it look like a Bills vs Raiders on the Andrew Luck sweepstakes next year. We aren't even in the running.

I don't see us drafting a QB, unless it is the Alabama QB in round 6. I wouldn't be surprised to see Vince Young (I know he is a head case) come in and compete with Henne. How well did Vince do with Tenn a couple of years ago? I would argue that only their RB is better than our otherwise Miami is a better team and Vince would give them a different look, if he isn't being a whiney dumb@ss.

    Say no to Kevin Kolb.

Carson Palmer maybe but he had a pretty good team last year and he didn't look good, I don't know why. And he is only a 2-3 year stop gap.

    just my thoughts.

Young makes me nervous. Yeah he is a head case but more concearning is the decisions he makes on the field...and his ssllloooowww delivery. I would much rather see an inexpensive otion via FA to compete with Henne. Palmer with little traded, NO KOLB (too expensive and overrated), McNabb maybe, Bulger?? Hmmm

Agreed. Im jumping for joy that the Pats took Mallett, who wont be doing anything for them over the next few years at least. I'm glad they didnt take a pass rusher, which they need alot more than they need a QB. They also need replacements for Mankins and Neal, which they haven't landed yet. Obiously we weren't terribly interested in Mallett, but that won't stop people from *****ing that we didnt get him.

I like Pouncey at C or at LG, hopefully C if we can find a LG (Jerry/Garner?). Thomas I'm not a big fan of, but he's raw and hopefully we can coach him up. He was the last feature type back available so we didnt have much of a choice.

Gates I like, he has the speed we were looking for. He's not a possession guy, not polished at all, but that's not what we need him for. If he can come in and create some space, return some kicks etc, I'll be happy w/ that.

bulger going to 49ers i bet,
mcnabb too inaccurate at this point, how many passes did he throw into the ground last year.
the reality is that Young won't cost any picks (palmer, kolb, orton)

  5. Just out of curosity how is it that everyone KNOWS we could not trade down? Was it reported somewhere?
