I don't think Wake will help him IMO.

The Colts won't move Hughes. And I'll be surprised if English is moved considering how often AJ Smith's preached about being patient with pass rushers in the past. He's said it takes 2-3, sometimes 4, years to let them develop.

Wake has said that JT and Porter's presence helped him tremendously in 2009.

I think Hughes and D Brown are on the bubble in Indy Alen, also think English might be, depending on what they do in FA in re signing their own players.

Those two are more experienced and its a different case IMO. Gholston is not Wake.

Its certainly possible, I'll just be surprised.

I have to agree with Omar here. (Which is unusual). Last year we went 7-1 or 6-2 on the road. (Forgive me for not being exact - I spent the season in Afghanistan). While I don't expect us to repeat that success on the road, it's realistic to think we can come close. And there is no way we will repeat the horrible home record we had last year. It's fair to say we could still win 4 to 5 games on the road and the same or one game better at home and that would put us at 10-6 or 11-5. Our defense has already proven itself as very good and it's fair to expect a step up under the same system and getting some important pieces back. If we stay healthy, for the most part, our defense will keep us in most games. Add some talent to the offense (which we did) and improved special teams play, we can be a legit playoff team. How far we go once we get there is the biggest question. I still say we need another RB (DeAngelo Willliams or even Ricky to help out the rook.) I have faith that Henne can improve to reverse his TD/INT totals from last year. I also believe that we will bring in legitimate competition to push or unseat Henne (I'm hoping for Palmer). But I still think Henne has a shot to prove he can be a solid starter in the NFL. No Peyton or Brady, but a solid caretaker of the offense who can occasionally make plays and keep away from mistakes with an overall better supporting cast. Our O-line will be much better which, in theory, will improve our running game and set up play action. Our new, speed receiver will take some of the attention off Marshall. Neither one will be able to be doubled. This will also open things up more for our TEs and backs.
Believe me, I have been frustrated with OUR team. But I think this draft has really helped us. And I think, once the lockout has been lifted, we will bring in some more guys who will take this team up yet another notch. Last year, a few bad breaks and mistakes (and a BS call on a fumble) kept us out of the playoff hunt. We're not as far away as some might think.

Getting to the playoffs makes you a team that can go to the Super Bowl. We've seen 9-win teams do it. Get there and then hopefully things fall in place when you are. Maybe Henne had a Sophomore slump? Hopefully 3rd time is the charm. He must know this is his final chance. See what he does with it.

The schedule makers gave them a golden opportunity with the Patriots in week one. After the quit performance of week 17, if they can win in week 1 at HOME in Primetime then it would send a message. Though, they'd need to continue it.

I hate the Jest but Ryan can coach the defense, if the guy couldn't play for them he's a dud and we are better off having our coaching staff spending time on players that can help the team instead of guys that can help themselves at the combine.
