He vows "payback" against us. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ett-plans-payback-after-dolphins-pass-on-him/
I just love how PFT is pushing that he is the next Brady. Unbelievable. If I were tom I'd take that as a huge slap in the face that a 3rd round questionable character qb is already being touted as him reincarnated
Count me in on that....... We had a chance to take a QB that was rated a top pick in the draft at a discounted position. I was not in favor of taking Mallet with #15 but where he had dropped to and the fact that we traded up to this spot to draft a potential impact player that's exactly what we should have done. I do not get the trade up for D. Thomas at all. Just dosen't seem that special a player to have made the move we did. In addition, we are complicit in allowing the damn Patriots to score another draft day gem. I'm telling you Bellicheck not only sold his soul to the devil but he must have to blow him before starting off every day. The fact that this loaded team not only continues to stockpile draft picks but also gets a 1st round rated QB prospect in the 3rd round is just unreal. KILLS ME. The Pats are NEVER going away.
Yeah I bet that really steams that Mr. 6th Round Brady I mean I get what you're saying, but I don't think draft position would have any merit there
Whoop - tee - do .... i doubt he's angry that 'we' didn't pick him ... he's angry he lost out on MILLLLLLLLLIONS of $$$$$
this is a little like suing a homeless man. What part of the last several seasons makes us scared about losing?
The guy was a sloppy soft pothead, I don't give a sh$# what he thinks..I'am just happy we wont have to face Kaepernick.
So he's angry with the Dolphins. I've been angry with the Dolphins for a freakin' decade plus. Mallet's going to get back at us by throwing ice cubes at our players from his spot on the bench.
Laugh it up Dolfans. If the Patriots do successfully develop the kid into an NFL QB, it will just be another example at us thumbing our nose at a franchise QB prospect so we can be a "RUNNING TEAM."
Get that outta here. **** every other team in the NFL. If you don't play for us, you're trash. Simple and plain. Unless you're from The U.
jason was the only one in this thread who got it. We TRIED trading up to get Mallett, and it didn't work out.
ooo Mallet is mad at us. I'm so scared. All I can think of is the scene with the Germans and Mr. Burns.
It'll be his fault and only his fault because, as well all know, the Patriots are perfect and couldn't possibly make a mistake on any player. They will petition the league to get that third round pick back... and the league will not only give them that, but a first round pick for their troubles.
I'm still glad we didn't draft this guy because if we did he wouldn't work out well for us. He landed in the one place where he can learn to become a successful QB, can you imagine if he ended up on the Bengals, Bills, Raiders or here in Miami His career would be over in a quicky
Yeah there's always that risk with any player. Does that mean teams shouldn't draft QBs? I get your point though. Passing on Mallet might end up being the wise choice for our team. I'm just reminding the Dolphin fan base that we said similar things about Matt Ryan and every other QB we've passed over while having subpar options at the position.
I never implied anything of the sort. Right, but I'm sure theres also times dolphin fans have been right.
True. Brady Quinn comes to mind. I'm just of the belief that you keep trying with QB till you get it right.
If ifs and buts........ I like how you use the "if statement" in a positive manner for NE and their QB who was passed over at least twice by 32 teams but you do the exact opposite for Miami and its QB. Are you sure you're not a Pats fan because you're pretty optimistic about them succeeding with the next Ryan Leaf.
Could you imagine Mallett so close to a port that imports the most coke in the country?!! He'd be talking like an auctioneer in every huddle!
Why not be mad at NE, too?! Hell, they passed on him more than any other team in the league with their 47 1st and 2nd round picks.
Alrighty, head to head, who does more in 2011, Daniel Thomas, or Ryan Mallet? And I liked Mallett's game, however DTrain may have 250 carries, Mallett will carry a clipboard if he is even active as the #3 Qb.
Don't worry if he was drafted a Dolphin the media would be laughing at how bad he is going to be and how we wasted that pick.
