Giants | Robinson received offer from Miami
    Tue, 29 Apr 2008 10:55:37 -0700

Jenny Vrentas, of The Star-Ledger, reports New York Giants DL Nate Robinson said he received an offer from the Miami Dolphins but decided to sign with the Giants because they're only brining in one or two other undrafted free agents at the defensive tackle position.

    Willie Copeland, QB, Valdosta State

    Overview
Fort Valley State transfer who had two outstanding years as the field general of one of DII's best programs, culminating with an impressive win (as underdogs) in the 2007 DII National Championship Game versus Northwest Missouri State.

    Strengths
Big enough. Tough and physical. Fairly cerebral. Throws a catchable ball. Very good leadership skills. Very productive at a low level of competition. Diagnoses pretty well. Throws OK on the run. Pretty good athlete.

    Weaknesses
Does not check down very well. Progressions are troublesome. Locks on and telegraphs. 23 interceptions in two seasons at Valdosta. Not a dual threat. Level of competition.[/QUOTE]

    Wr Bowman Isn’t A Bird

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We’ve been flooded today with e-mails from PFT Planeteers in Philly asking about Internet reports (man, I hate those) that the Eagles have inked Oklahoma State receiver Adarius Bowman.

Per a league source with knowledge of the situation, the Eagles have not signed Bowman. We’re also told that they will not sign him.

Bowman was expected to be a first-day draft pick. An April 14 guilty plea to marijuana possession hurt him, and he ultimately wasn’t drafted.
