The first half is just a mess on all parts..I wanted to watch it without posting after every play, just to see how the team responded, and what Henne did..He was like 9/15 115, couple of nice deep throws, flea flicker to Hartline..The team was in obvious shock mode with Pennington getting hurt on the first play...Mr. Carey is responsible for letting his man beat him one on one...I don't know about that dude man, i'am starting to isolate him more and more..he made some other really bad plays in this game as well There is frustration in the air and tempers on the dolphins are high {Fasanos tantrum was BS and punkish}..When Pennington went out, Henne picked up the drive, made a nice throw for a first down on his first pass to pick up the bulk of the yards, ronnie punched it in.. Lets just go to the 2nd half..Henne has 2 backs that have produced 17 yards in the first half, as usual, So henning comes out and lets Henne take the reigns..He responds with 8 for 8 on the drive for about 82 yards, just missing a first down pickup after having to deal with Marshall losing his cool and launching the football after a catch.. We kick afield goal..Henne looked good.. Marshall needs to act like a man on the football field..grow up. Vince young is in the game, we made Kerry collins look like a 50 year old QB..did the same thing to young on the first drive, after that he showed himself pretty well.. On Vince's first drive he was dominated by our defense, deflected pass on 2nd, 3rd down, sack, fumble, and recovery inside their red zone.. For 8 and a half games Henne has not dropped, been hit, and lost the ball...nice Job on that Henne, that does not go unnoticed. Henne gets the ball and makes the beautiful sideline throw where he perfectly led cobbs so he could turn without any wasted motion and sneak it in by the pylon, bout a 20 yard TD.. Dan Fouts confirms, ''this is a great throw by Chad Henne...something ive heard a lot of thru 9 games, NINER. Henne is 19/27 1/1 bout 250 yards.. 1 player that I am very excited about that is being overlooked..Chris clemons...This kid is impressive to watch grow, his range, his speed, I don't think most think this but, the man likes to hit people, just let him learn the scheme and play more off instincts, and we have our free safety for the future. This is where Henne gets hurt, Cognito got beat bad, and Hennes knee and leg got trapped underneath...we know Henne and his demeanor..He was in pain..he got up and walked off the field with no help...So i'am watchin close, the trainer asks him, ''you ok'', he looks at the guy smiles, and keeps gimpin off the field...lol...that was cool..I have no idea what happens after this..I forgot.. Henne is flat out on the stretcher, eyes closed, while trainers checkin the knee..Gets up and walks to the locker room.. Meanwhile ronnie and ricky are marchin down the field in the wildcat, great plays all involving the read jet sweep by ronnie and Ricky. They drive the ball about 50 yards out of the formation, on third down Thigpen enters and throws a horrible pass that almost gets picked..3 points on the board.. I'll tell ya right now why Vince young is a punk...The man let his body go as a professional.. Nice belly buddy...loser..How you gonna not take care of your body when you make millions playing a sport..I don't trust mother grabbers like that...Its no coincidence..Whoever makes a run at him, us, somebody else, better make sure he understands that hes gonna train like rocky or else he can go somewhere else. I saw a beautiful wildcat play, so simple, so effective, trips left, ricky jet sweep to the left, ronnie keeps it and goes off right tackle....Ronnie brown is a better wildcat runner than he is traditional.. Thigpen played pretty good in relief..made about 4 good throws.. We'll see what happens next week.. Ive lost some steam because imo, the investigation is completed...The benching was BS, on many levels, this game didn't have to confirm that.. Peace.
Oh, Deej, don't stop the investigation just yet, he had a good game v the Raiders then the wheels fall off.
The investigation is complete???? IMO the investigation is still going strong. The jury is still out and it damn well should be. As for the benching, it was extremely necessary otherwise it would not have happened. I`ve never heard of any head coach benching a productive, quality QB just for the sake of making a change. The benching was by all means warranted.
well, the reason why I started this was to find out if the benching was called for, and imo, after hours of research, it was not, so for me that part is over, and I only hope that the shadiness behind it, comes out to the public..Henne needs some public support, he needs to know that there are some that see the BS that he had to take the hit for... There is a scoop in there somewhere i'll tell ya that, If I was a reporter, I'd be all over that sh^%..
I'am not gonna stop it, but don't you think an injured knee, the continued injuries on the offense..and maybe, dare I say, some mutiny going on against Henning is a no win situation.. You know there was a time where I saw Shuler, Mastrud and Cobbs take the field for Henne on a pass play...lol.. I think 9 games dealing with destructive QB variables is enough to project what we have in a QB, considering those variables only get worse, idk. But I know how much you love them, so Iam gonna keep doing them for the whole season, lol..
I could have saved you some time and told you the benching was unnecessary. Well actually I already did over and over during the season. Henne took the fall for a very poorly run offensive scheme via the OC. It worked perfectly to make Sparano look like a fool. Henne gets benched then gets his job back because he was the most complete QB on the team. Henning threw Henne under the bus for the purpose of saving his own ***. What a joke it was.
Deej has already closely rewatched 9 games and posted detailed threads about each, and then you come in a disrespect him & all his hard work in his own thread by twisting this one around into a completely different topic. Where have I seen that before? Deej's "investigation", as it's been stated numerously, was ONLY about Henne's benching and trying to get to the bottom of it. If you'd like to start your own separate unrelated investigation, please feel free to do so in your own freakin thread. DJ (who was previously in support of the benching), in his extensive, subjective effort, concluded that nothing about our first 8 games justified the benching. He's posted 9 threads about it so far, one for each game, to support his reasoning...... and then you come in with your "the benching was by all means warranted" without ANY supporting argument as if it's more pertinent than DJ's 9 threads combined? Uhhhh ok. Have you even re-watched the games, or are you giving the excuse that you saw them the first time, and that's all you need? Members have posted numerous valid reasons why a coach WOULD undeservingly bench Henne; if you choose to ignore those because you personally don't like Henne, more power to ya. Ignorance is bliss I guess.
perhaps, but Deej's way was much more enjoyable. Don't you have some traffic to play in?! lol. Besides that, I agree with you.
you and a few others sure did, and I'am sure I debated you ignorantly that he did deserve it, I apologize for that Killa..I'am hoping I can redeem myself by seeing it now, and having him starting again, it would prove to me that the research was worth it, cause I honestly believe he deserves that based on performance. I forget that the NFL is run by humans sometimes, humans with flaws just like us...
Not to mention we were playing from behind most of the time with a young QB, lots of injuries, sub-par running game, etc...
You are not really going to go down this road again, are you?? Seriously?? And,I`m totally aware what his "investigation" was all about. I read all of his previous threads regarding the matter and I think he does a hell of a job of re-watching the games and commenting on Henne`s performance. Besides,he responded to my post himself so I didnt really see the need for you to harp on it. I`m starting to think you have serious issues, whether its the Henne love or just the overall need to be right -I`m not sure - but its definitely strange to a point. Also, your " where have I seen that before" comment tells me you havent moved on from "that thread". Let it be known I sent you a PM,after your ban, asking that we start fresh and move on,but you choose not to,which is fine. But the calling out and belittling is uncalled for. As for DJ, great job, I appreciate your time and effort.
Ya know what DJ, while my views on Henne are well documented at this point I`d still be the first to admit the HORRENDOUS play calling didnt help him one bit .However, I felt the benching was necessary because Henne didnt show that "certain something" that quality QB`s have. Whether he does develop into a top notch QB is uncertain at this point but,I guess we`ll find out. And, contrary to popular belief , I dont actually root against him. I only hope he proves me dead wrong when I say his progression is doubtful in my eyes.
If you were aware of it, then why would you try and alter the topic of his thread into being about something completely different? It just seems like another attack on Henne. If you want to criticize Chad in the confounds of the thread, then by all means do so; just keep it to the thread topic. There's absolutely nothing wrong with disagreeing with a poster or thread. But FWIW, 2 things: 1. If you're gonna disagree with an opening post, please try and stick to the topic of the thread. 2. If a guy like Deej spends 30+ hours subjectively researching a topic in order to give his opinion, at least show the poster the courtesy of giving some type of argument if your're disagreeing with him. carry on
He's not quitting Aqua. His quest and motivation to these threads were about the reasoning behind Henne's benching and whether or not it was justified. He was benched during this game, so what happened from this point on was irrelevant to the benching and the purpose of the thread. It becomes a new subject.
It was just the mood I was in Trav, lol...You have just givin me the inspiration to attack the 2nd half with the same energy, I needed that.....I had already made up my mind that the benching was wrong, and he didn't do anything in the first half that changed it, so I lost some steam considering thats all I set out to do, the rest is very grey ya know? lotta sh$# goin on.. I have said that it was his worst half of the season though, I will detail the first half tonight, but I can briefly say and summarize, it just took a little time for him to warm up..this is his 9th game, half the season in my eyes he played at a higher level than you are giving him credit for. but I luv ya too man.. I'am gonna watch the 2nd half closely..But where is the parallell for Henne in this situation.
Can you imagine KP out in traffic with his face paint on? There would be a traffic pile up like Miami has never seen. LOL
As if a man wearing makeup would cause much a stir in Miami Mr C.. Well, rightly or wrongly I think Henne will be our qb this yr, as I simply see no practical way to really bring in any competition for him with the labor stuff, the reason why Sparano (imho) was retained, the lockout, is also the same thing that sticks us with Henne, lockout thy name is dual edged sword. Which also means Thigpen and Brandstater are the 2 Qb's behind Henne, funny thing is if Daboll got good production out of McCoy in Cleveland he should be able to do the same with Thigpen, Brandstater is more of the tall, pocket passer type who is really a complete unknown.
Hey now I wake up every day eat my cornflakes, turn on the morning news and work on my clown makeup........... What's the problem.
Ahhhhh the ''it'' factor..I saw some pretty cool confident moves and mannerisms on the field thru the first half, believe it or not, the kid got on fire on more than 2 occasions or 3, or 5..He had some good confidence, until well, you know.. Somethin I really like, is that Jake Long watches that dudes back man, and, I believe in Jake Longs decisions on who he would kill for, and Henne is it... I'll tell ya, nobody knows Chad Henne but them, and thats his thing, and he keeps it all in..Maybe this year he can just let some out..Or maybe not, maybe the Robot nonos wanna talk...lol. I would take Henne over what is available right now, and no way I'am giving up a draft pick either, what I would do, is what we have mostly done, realized we made a mistake, and draft yourself players that address weaknesses, Henne has a beautiful pocket game, if you can protect him, he can make any throw with the velocity you want, so if thats the skillset you want, then he's the best option imo..
1st half.... I forgot that the titans were 5 and 3 at this stage of the season... Karlos Dansby...very happy he's on our team..Where does he rank skillset wise and production with our history at the position?..He's up there as the most talented we've had ya know.. So when Henne comes in at the 12, he gets put in 3 and 11, he throws a check down for 10.. Next 2 passes, one to cobbs where the ball was thrown a little out front on 3rd down, still could of been caught by polite, and the next was an 11 yard curl for a first down, nice throw. I really like this package of Cobbs, Mastrud and Shuler, especially the money shot when they take the field together..lol I would really like to know who the fu$# Fasano thinks he is...Punk move, you can see that he has fallin for the marketing.. Henne on a delayed blitz, gets pressured, throws inaccurately to fasano, they play was blown up from the get, had 0 chance of success. Next 2 plays..He gets sacked on the play, Iam not sure what Carey was doing on the play..the play is at the 2:15 2:30 mark, please someone watch that, lol.. Next pass, is jailbreak wr screen on 3rd and long.. He gets hurt in the next quarter so I'am good, this is like pulling teeth writing this, i've seen enough, I'am going to the next game, I believe the raiders..hmmm.
