I have gotten used to it. Reggie Hates the Heat for a very obvious reason. His hatred for the Knicks...therefore...his hatred for Pat Riley, of which he will never get over his grudge. Steve Kerr is a Bulls "legend" and therefore is a complete homer. But what do you expect? If the Fins and Jets played a game in the playoffs and Joe Rose did the game..it would be the same thing. The funny thing is that TNT's best group is Harlan with Fratello..yet they don't get the game. They give it to these two bufoons.
While I don't condone throwing things or physical violence, Barkley should learn to take his medicine like a man. If he can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. If you're going to spend an entire season ragging on not only the team, but the city of Miami and it's residents/fans, then don't expect rose petals when you waltz into town. Just because you're on tv doesn't give you a free pass Chuck. Same with Simmons. If he just criticized the Heat, that would be one thing, but he's another douche who makes it personal with the city/fans for no reason. I could respect him if he went on LeBatarad after the Heat wins and takes his medicine but he won't do it. If he shows up here for the Finals and gets his riduclous mug on camera I hope he gets the same treatment Barkley did. And Jon Barry can definitely expect it when ESPN/ABC shows up.
I agree. The fans who threw things and/or were cursing, etc. were behaving badly, but CB was egging them on. If I walk into a bar that is predominantly patronized by fans of an opposing team and then proceed to taunt those fans and end up getting my butt kicked then those fans behaved badly (possibly criminally), but their behavior should not be a surprise. Reality is that I helped create the situation. As for them not taking their medicine, it's kind of expected. Nobody really considers them objective or serious analysts. They are clowns the network uses to get reactions. The people who wanted to hate the Heat may have bought into what they were saying, but nobody else did. The clowns will never admit they were wrong and the fans who bought in will just jump to a new and equally ridiculous reason to hate.
Much rather have home cooking with Eric Reid and Tony Fiorentino. Not only are they excellent but Heat fans would not have to listen to any of the bias that every single crew shows the Heat. With Dolphins games, I can put it on mute and listen to the local radio crew and that worked fine. But I cannot stand Mike English so I can't do that with the Heat. English knows basketball but man, he is so hard on the Heat it's not even funny.
Totally agree with your post and the bolded portion in particular. I've been lucky enough to go to several Dolphins away games, including the Jets/Dallas and Pittsburgh. I never once had any problem with any other fans and had very enjoyable experiences. Part of it is luck that I didn't get seated next to a jerk but part of it is that I'm not looking for trouble, I don't taunt people, I don't get drunk and belligerent, etc. If I did, I would deserve what I got. Same thing with Barkley. If you're going to make it personal with a fan abse, don't be shocked when they make it personal. At halftime the guy was on national tv saying the fans sucked, the building wasn't loud and that the Heat had no HC advantage. Well no crap people are going to yell "Barkley sucks!" when they get their chance.
Express shipping. Despite getting 40 he seemed to have a quiet game until the fourth and then just took it over, for the second game in a row; entertaining game four.
Yeah what happened to that dude with the Bulls sig whos been here so long? jK Killer, I don't enjoy rubbing it in people faces
So funny watching the post game crap with Barkley and company. Nothing but kissing the Bulls butts the entire recap.
bow to you my man. More than I can say for some dedicated haters. BOW TO YOU MY MAN. I knew you were different...my faith in humanity gets redeemed.
As a Cavs fan I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see LeBron learn to take the ball to the hole in the 4th quarter instead of taking fall back jumpers from a step inside the three point line. Seriously. So happy. Perfect timing. I can't think of a better thing to happen at this exact point. Sure glad he did'nt figure this out...oh I don't know...AT ANY POINT IN THE LAST THREE GODDAMN SEASONS. Congrats on the trophy, Heat fans. I hate the Heat with everything in me, but there is no question y'all are the best team out there right now.
REmatch of 2006 on the way..can't wait! To hear Mark Cuban whine about officiating from the 06 series, maybe he winds up getting more in fines from Stern then Lebron raised for the Boys and Girls Club...
Long time Bulls fan here, congrats to the Heat, too many playmakers, you have the best defense I ever seen.
well...gotta do SOMETHING first...till then...I got the second three-peat Bulls as the best defense. But, were working on it.
IMO the Bulls have been the best D this year b/c of their consistency, but Miami has had spurts where they've been among the best I've seen.
You got that right! Those Bulls teams were tenasious on Defense. But I do think that with an entire season with Wade, Bosh, Lebron, Haslem, and Miller starting, that could be one hell of a defense. Next season they will find another one or two pieces as well....
I just can't figure out why people hate on the Heat so much when the team and fans don't instigate it at all
I would like to revive this thread by pointing out that the New York Jets called themselves the Miami Heat of the NFL prior to the 2010 season.

Silver lining for the Bulls fans: when the Heat’s six year run is over, D-Rose will be 28 and in his prime. So, assuming he’s still in Chicago, you have a great chance then.
