Just watched "Your Highness" with Danny McBride. Completely what you expect, and what's so wrong with that?

My copy of Red Cliff (which I've yet to watch) has like a 286 minute main feature. I thought that was a extremely long movie.

Last two movies I saw were:

Blow Out - John Travolta movie from the 80's about a political character assassination gone too far/wrong. John Lithgow was in an unexpected role. Was a very good movie, and was glad I picked it up.

Hard Boiled - Had never seen it before. Unsurprisingly, I enjoyed it. Lots of good 80's gun action in it, plus Hong Kong action movie stuff too.

International version, the theatrical isn't even 2.5 hours long to my knowledge.

Just watched "Into Eternity". A stark look at nuclear waste storage. Made in Finland, the movie is about a 500 Meter below ground facility that should be complete by 2100. Shot like a sublime horror show, this movie derives its intrigue by watching top scientists squirm uneasily in their seats about how to store Finland's nuclear waste (worldwide estimate is 2-300,000 tons) that has a life span of 100,000 years. Do they want people to remember or forget? Will the waste be viewed as treasure in future generations? 100,000 years is a long time...

Thought provoking and mesmerizing; however I did find the music and imagery to be uniquely Scandinavian (which is hilarious at times). A slow motion shot of a caribou taking a dump to Brahm's concerto in E major is one example of many that is sure to offer the American viewer some welcomed albeit unintentional comic relief.

Just saw Pirates 4. It was different, and that is a good thing. Nothing will ever be better than the first one, but the 4th one was great. I enjoyed the whole mermaid piece to the movie.

Hangover 2 had me in stitches the whole way through. The story line is pretty much identical to the first but the scenes are just as funny if not funnier with the atmosphere of Thailand as the back drop. Ken Jeong cracked me up...he's a funny dude...the guy has no shame haha

Saw Kung Fu Panda 2 and the Hangover 2 on Monday.

KFP2 was really good. Not sure if it was better than the 1st, but I highly enjoyed it.

Hangover 2 was very funny as well, even if it wasn't "new" ideas.

Saw Kung Fu Panda last week. I thought it was good, but not better than the first one.

Saw X-Men First Class. I wasn't particularly excited about this one until the Dark Knight comparisons started cropping up. I wouldn't put it in that class, but it was excellent. The acting throughout the whole cast was very good, but I thought the Charles Xavier and Magneto characters were particularly superb.

I was out on mission the last week at a SPEC OPS site and last night I watched the 1980's Red Dawn with a bunch of Navy SEALs. God, I was ROLLING in laughter watching it with those guys. Remember "Mystery Science Theater 3000" that used to be on Comedy Channel? Watching Red Dawn with them was just like that...smart assed comments for the littlest things!!!

    Good times!!!

Hot Tub Time Machine - Effin hilarious.

The Big Lebowski - expected better, only funny when Bridges, Goodman and Buscemi were together.

    Sling Blade - excellent movie.

Salt - too unrealistic for me.

The Big Lebowski is one of those movies that gets funnier the more you watch it. I saw it when it came out in the theaters, and felt similar about it as you did. Now, I consider it the funniest movie of all time.
