Sorry UT, too many ex Isles for me to root against Tampa..Rollie, Bergie, Nate Thompson. Go Lightning.

On another note I met Zenon Kenopka and Andrew MacDonald from the Isles this week as my job is about 10 minutes away from Nassau Coliseum and right near where many of them live.

The PP is unfathomably bad. I'm so sick of watching them work to set up a Chara slapshot from the point. Clog the middle, get defenders in Chara's shooting lanes and you've successfully defensed the Bruins PP. I honestly wish we could decline penalties. Its impossible to overstate how badly we miss Savard's playmaking ability along the halfwall.

On another note, I absolutely HATE Kaberle (the turnover behind the net leading to the 3rd goal was inexcusable) - I thought we were getting a top pairing defenseman in that deal for Colborne? He's looked anything but to this point - the guy is charmin soft in his own zone. God help us all if Chia re-ups this clown during the offseason.

I didn't notice Marchand and Rex at all during this one - not a good sign for the Bergy replacement in Kelly considering that's been our most consistent scoring line throughout the playoffs.

And while we're on the topic of Bergy, we got absolutely murdered in the faceoff dot - that cannot continue to happen.

Lastly, here's an update to the Bergy situation from last night:

PS - I hope we're not looking at suspensions for the general douchebaggery out of Horton and Lucic after the game was decided. I'm hoping it was the sort of thing (gloved punches) that gets the attention of the league during the regular season but not during the playoffs.

Also, the kid looked slick on that goal - he's liable to flash a ridiculous level of talent on occassion. If Bergy is back in the mix on Tuesday night, he (Seguin) better not be scratched. As much as love what Thornton brings to this team, he's redundant and useless playing the role of enforcer during the postseason. Plus, he's only been consistently seeing 5 minutes of ice time through the first two series.

Time for Claude to cut the s*it and dress the kid.

Roloson is a bum, Thomas has to get better and they win this thing, although Tampa does have some solid offense.......

Not sure much matters if Vancouver keeps this up....my goal of seeing Big Joe versus the B's is quickly fading at the hands of the Sedin twins...

It is funny that this clown can call for fans swearing at the team, but he cant take a joke?!?!?!?!?

Its the next day and I still cannot figure out exactly what Johnny Boychuk was thinking attacking the puck at his own blueline and (in the process) leaving Chara and Thomas out to dry.

Through one game I've already started to despise a majority of the Vancouver roster - that didn't take long (Burrows biting, H. Sedin flopping, Kessler's general d*uchebagery).

Wow. I would have said it was a well played game from both sides and the Nucks were fortunate to get a late goal. I'm not sure were all the hatred of the Sedins would come from as they have been nothing but class since coming in to the league. Kesler and Burrows have really cleaned up their acts the last couple years (no I don't condone Burrows bite). If all the games are as entertaining as last night's it will be a great series.

please. its hockey for god's sake. the last thing you want to do is sissify the sport like football has become. biting punching kicking should be encouraged. you should go to the penalty box if you dont bite in a fight

Facewashing and fighting happens all the time in hockey. You know what doesn't happen all the time? Biting. There is and always has been acceptable hockey behavior and unacceptable hockey behavior. I'll give you an opportunity to guess which bucket biting falls into. Here's a hint -- its not the former.

Yeah, this reeks of class... notice the whack to Ference's balls (@ 0:18 seconds) before the dive.

If that's not going to be called a penalty for embellishment, then the NHL should just abolish the rule.

And on top of that, Vancouver is an easy team to dislike. Ryan Whitney was on the EEI in Boston the other day and said 90% of the NHL is rooting for the Bruins to win because everyone hates the Canucks and most of the players on that team.

I was surprised to hear it at first, but after watching their Game 1 antics, its not so surprising anymore.

OK, I understand that I am talking to a Bruin fan and that there are a lot more of you on this board than me. That said, I'm pretty sure by the end of this series I will hate the Bruins too. If you really think the Bruins have never tried to draw a penalty including Wednesday night, then you're just not being realistic. It is part of the game and the Canucks and Bruins do it no more or less than any other team. There is a penalty for it, and if it is abused I'm sure the offending team will pay for it. To me you are now coming off like the cry-baby at this point.

If I'm honest, I have more of a problem with Sedin's dive than I do with the Burrows bite. My point being that diving in hockey is reprehensible.

As far as it being called, it never happens. I don't know the league-wide statistics off-hand, but I'm sure that someone getting whistled for embellishment - without a matching penalty - is a rather rare occurrence. Put it this way, I've watched mostly every Bruins game this season and I have yet to see it.

I have not seen a more obvious dive this year than the PK Subban one in the ECQF. And no, even that one wasn't whistled.

I don't know about you, but I'm putting a hell of a lot more stock in what a guy like Ryan Whitney has to say about these two teams than I am regarding anything I'm reading on message board.

I have seen diving called several times this year both for and against the Canucks. Maybe it's not called as much in the Eastern Conference. I don't know.

I wouldn't respect Whitney if he didn't have a hatred for the teams in his division. I'm pretty sure that Max Pacioretty is not rooting for the Bruins.
