Congrats to Unified Theory and any other Bruins fan that posts on these boards. How does it feel bro? 39 years.... almost as long as our Dolphins... Hey... lets make it two for two!
It on my local channel. I didn't see anybody fighting, but saw a lot of trash and they mentioned that people had turned cars over and started fires.
Honestly and it may sound lame....best night of my life. I've never seen my two teams (Bruins and Dolphins) win a Championship. The feeling is different than I thought it would be...it's better. Watched it at home with my lady. Did ZERO drinking (drank beer game 1 and 2 and they lost, did not drink games 3 or 4 and they won, drank game 5 and they lost so I ceased all drinking during the game). I'm going to buy a bottle of Wisers 15 tomorrow after work and crank that ***** open and watch the replay of the game. Downtown Vancouver is a total mess right now, idiots. Thanks to all of you. What a night!
It was a hell of a ride this season, Uni. What a pleasure it was to watch this group from the season opener in Prauge through last night in Vancouver. I'm still in total shock about the rookie campaign that Brad Marchand just capped off last night. He was such a revelation this season. It got a bit dusty in the bar when Horton hoisted the Cup. If you had told me before the season that this team would have won it all without the services (for all intents and purposes) of Marc Savard all season and Nathan Horton in the most important games of the season, I would have called you crazy. Incredible, simply incredible.
Congrats to all the Bruins fans, UT, FPL, etc..... Chew on this rest of the nation, this area I live in DOMINATES all sports, you are all *****es to the greatness that is Boston..... First time in the HISTORY OF SPORT, that one city has won a championship in the 4 major sports (hockey, baseball, basketball, football) within a decade...actually the Pats last one in 2005 so six years to be exact..... And I dont root for one of these teams......
Congrats to Boston. I was originally rooting HARD against Boston for many reasons. I live in Toronto but am a Habs fan, so the Bruins are rivals to both teams I follow. Second, I'm Canadian, so wanted Vancouver to win because they are a Canadian team. Lastly, I hate any sports team from Boston, regardless. But, over the course of the series, I became impartial. Especially after the way Vancouver conducted themselves over the course of the series. After seeing the way the idiots in Vancouver behaved themselves after the game, I said "F" them, don't care if they are Canadians. They would've rooted against Toronto anyway, since they hate us, so why should I root for them? Plus, Boston has more Canadians on the team anyway. Congratulations to the Bruins! That was hard to say.....
