Not saying its right or wrong but I'm pretty sure the owner of the Cavs along with half the state of Ohio got on his case for it

Seriously, Ronnie NEVER went down on first contact, dude was stopped plenty of times behind the LOS and ended up with positive yardage. He gets a bad wrap. Hes injured alot sure, but he was/is a good runningback.

Don't blame him... I'd be outta here in a NY minute to a team that can compete for a title.

I've been a huge fan of Ronnie Brown since college, and wanted him here over Caddy or Benson in the worst way. He has exceptional talents but we must see that his career has been nothing special and last season, he was terrible. Bad play calling and not having a great offensive line surely plays into it but he still did not look the same breaking tackles, blocking and catching the ball.

If Ireland and company think he's not worth bringing back, I can only put up a decent argument for keeping him.

Now with that said, if he goes to a team in the AFC East, or a team that Miami plays next season, I can see him having a monster game against Miami. The shame of this is, is that he sometimes needs some kind of extra motivation to have those monster games.

If he leaves, I'm not going to cry even though I'd like to see him stay and if he indeed leaves, then I could care less about him any longer. It not hate of Ronnie Brown persay! To me I'm supposed to hate on every player that does not play for the Miami Dolphins....

Ok, but you're telling me that they would sign Ronnie Brown after drafting two backs in rounds 2 and 3, slapping a high tender on BJGE and having Woodhead who was pretty successful last season. If Belichick signs him after all that, he's an idiot.

I am better than that? Thanks?

Has anybody ever seen RB get pushed backwards? NO, every single time he gets hit/tackled, he always falls forward.
Again, people don't like him because he's not a dancer. He's the perfect fit for a run first offense. He's got more value than just a runner. Stats don't do justice to a player like Ronnie.

We're thinking of getting Vince Young and letting Ronnie go???

Actually one of Ronnie Browns biggest problems is he dances too much at times. His vision is good and sure, he is hard to bring down on first contact but his value did not show up too much last year. As a runner, blocker or a pass catcher! So unless I missed something else that makes him so valuable, he can be replaced if need be. A team that is good to excellent against the run can make him rather average

    Ronnie has already been replaced.
Someone did say Ronnie doesn't break tackles I think it was Nap.
    That was never my knock.

If I remember right, there was a playoff game between Green Bay and Detroit a long time ago. GB held Barry Sanders for minus yardage thru three quarters, but nobody ever said Barry was done, he doesn't have it, or ect.

Last season wasn't a good year for a lot of players on the Dolphins, but I think losing Ronnie would be a mistake at this time. IMO

You ignore the 6 days and 21 hours he is not playing football when you make that statement.

If you can sign someone better than anyone on your team without draft picks? Ronnie Brown in NE under the best coach in football please! Ronnie had one down year. He's still better than anyone they've had in a while. Two rookies and 3 ok not dominant running backs doesn't make a championship team.

And who can catch passes better than Ronnie. Ugh, I don't want to think about it. It won't happen. And I definitely don't want it to. Their running game was decent but weak. No dominant player. Can ronnie be dominant again? Under Belly he just might.

Those are all sunk costs. if you can get someone better than everyone on your roster you pass because there isn't a spot? You don't think he can trade woodhead? Get another free draft pick?

Not saying it'll happen, just saying it isn't too crazy.

imo....If I was Ronnie Brown Iwould want out of Miami. Fans have turned on him because of things out of his control, while he has proven he can be one of the BEST rb's in the league. I know his production has dropped off, but in all fairness it is a product of our horrible offense over the past couple years. We all know what Ronnie can and can't do and if you honestly think Ronnie is washed up then so be it. I for one will be pretty upset to see Ronnie on another team crackin heads like I know he can

    No.

    That's debatable, no?

I don't really see it as that big of an upgrade. Belichick also likes running backs are decisive and are north-south. Ronnie Brown goes north-south after tap dancing east-west.

I don't really get the love affair for Brown. I realize he was the only thing this franchise had when it sucked but people are so emotionally attached to the guy that they see no faults in his game.

Not in all cases. A lot of the class played last season.

You and Ronnie Brown are very, very patient then. He's too patient.

Its a rotational basis at that position. Vereen and Ridley probably won't get a ton of carries but they'll be used in certain packages, like they do with everyone else.

It wasn't just 2010 where his tap dancing was evident.

Wasn't that the knock on Ronnie until 2007 when people surmised that Cam making him return kickoffs was to make him learn how to move north and south? Then he goes on to look like a more decisive runner that year, with a 5.1 average. Was our Oline that much better that year or was it good offensive coaching?

Why is it North and south anyway when I'm watching TV it's clearly east and west bu that's a different topic!

    Again, how
