I strongly believe that Miami will sign four FAs who will matter this coming year, just not quite sure who they will be and we will be shopping soon.

Name who you think we will sign? A QB and RB is mandatory. The other two can be any position. This is not who you want but, who the team will sign.

    My guesses:

    1. Ahmad Bradshaw - RB - Giants
    2. Antwan Barnes - LB - Chargers
    3. Brady Quinn - QB - Broncos (my surprise pick if he gets cut)
    4. Chris Baker - TE - Seahawks

I wanted D Williams but, have changed my mind. After looking at what he did last year, before another injury, his age, and cost, I have to pass.

Bradshaw is a VG RB but, the same type as Thomas. After moving up to get Thomas, I don't see him here.

I have to go with Sproles for something completely different on this team.

I want McNabb, the team wants Palmer. So, we end up with Vince Young (Padre owes me a 6 pack for this post). Henne is our starter but, Young is young enough for next year if things don't work out, and can add some excitement to the team. He is better than Pat White.

Yanda is my third pick because he can play G or RT, and is insurance for Carey.

For pick #4, I think we are going safety, undecided between Weddle or Huff but leaning towards Weddle.

It is something to attract spell checkers in place of posters. LOL

As you, and I'm sure many others will pick on this, a spell checking Mod is called for. OR the allowance to edit titles.

Care to volunteer? Or, just post IF you do understand the meaning of the title? :)

QB Tavaris Jackson- He's young, he's played well at times, he's not going to cost draft picks, and he's got the mobility the front office has said they desire.

G Daryn Colledge- He's an athletic left guard on the right side of 30 who isn't likely to be particularly expensive. He's got the mobility to hit on the outside zone and long pull elements Daboll utilized heavily in Cleveland that we currently don't have on the roster outside of Pouncey. Has been a pretty good player, but has had enough "bad" elements the last couple years to make him cheaper than he should be(Played through knee injury this year, got destroyed filling in at LT the year before)

TE Joey Haynos- I realize there was a note recently that they were looking at resigning him, but I've been on the bandwagon for a bit. He's young, he's a good blocker, and he's a massive red-zone target. He's never going to be the player many people have a hard-on for here, but unless you sign Zach Miller and really commit to run a 2-TE set, you're not going to get that anywhere.

OLB Travis LaBoy- They considered signing him last year, he's a solid fit for a sub pass rusher to share time with the other two.

Matt Hasselbeck - QB - We need a vet qb who is smart with the football and takes care of it.
Derrick Locke - RB - A rookie that can take it to the house and barely has tread on the tires.
Julian Peterson - OLB - Experienced pass rusher who will know his role.
David Baas - LG - Reminds them of Justin Smiley and can play guard and center.

QB Marc Bulger - I think most people realize at this point that Henne will be, and given the short offseason, needs to be the guy. Bulger can come in and not only be the token vet competition, but also be good enough to step in if Henne gets hurt or the season just gets out of hand. Plus, he shouldn't cost all that much.

    RB Jerome Harrison
    RB Reggie Bush
    - If Omar is to believed, a big IF, then DeAngelo Williams will absolutely be on the team next year. Personally, I hope that is not the case. I've never seen anything super special out of him and with him likely to command 6 million a year and his injury history, I just hope we pass on him. I would really like to see us use that 6 million on two guys to form what could be an exciting backfield combination. Harrison is a perfect compliment to Thomas, he is a one cut runner that did very well when he got to the Eagles last year. He isn't someone who is going to carry the load for you, but he is a guy that can take some pressure off of both other guys on any of the downs, which also means if one of the others get hurt, he is a capable replacement.

Then you have Bush who's impact on this team could be monumental. Obviously, he is a specialty guy, mainly playing on third downs, but his speed and skill set together with Thomas and Harrison? That is the kind of platoon that could cause a lot of damage.

There are a lot of players I would like to see in this fourth slot. Chief among them is Marshall Yanda, but I just can't see one of the best organizations in football letting such an impressive young player go somewhere else. The Ravens will offer him a plum and he will play in Baltimore next year, unfortunately. I am okay with this, I think that Garner can be a great RG, but I do think we will bring in one or two more offensive linemen. So where do I use this fourth slot? I would also love to see Manny Lawson, creating an epic OLB grouping with Wake, Misi, and Lawson, but he is going to demand starter money and will likely get a chance to be the guy somewhere else. I would love to get out hands on a Stephen Tulloch, but lets be realistic here. So where do I go with my fourth slot?

WR Brad Smith - This is a tough selection for me as I am a huge fan of both Marlon Moore and Roberto Wallace. However, following with the same idea that already brought us Gates and Clay and the idea that would also bring us Bush, it is about adding speed and big play ability. We have all seen what Smith has been able to do and I think he would be an excellent cog to go with Marshall, Hartline, Bess, and a still raw Gates.

These are four names that I think are very doable money wise and provides the competition (Bulger) to push Henne and gives him some more great weapons that should make this team playoff bound in 2011!

QB- Matt Leinart- Cheap, could flourish if he has overcome maturity issues. Really got a hatchet job in AZ IMO

    RB- DeAngelo Williams

OLB- Manny Lawson- Kid is a California Condor, which are going extinct

TE- is Martellus Bennet available from the Cowboys?

    1) Ahmad Bradshaw - The more I think about it the more I think this is inevitable. He is such a good blocker and has the big play ability the team needs. There is no way we go in to next year with a rookie as the lone option at tailback. None. As Ive stated before I would have no qualms about signing DeAngelo Williams either but I think it will be Bradshaw

    2) Matt Hasselbeck - He will want to go somewhere with a good line (check), at minimum pretty good targets (check), and a chance to compete for a starting gig (check). His vet leadership, mental approach, his accuracy and experience are all things Henne can continue to learn from. And if and when Henne wins a camp battle he will have earned it cause Hasselbeck does have something left as he showed last year.

    3) Travis Laboy - the team sniffed around him last year and I am not sure if they just weren't sure or got outbid or maybe they didn't like what they saw but LaBoy does have pass rush skills and we need another one to make this an elite defense. The fact that LaBoy and Misi can both play that open end spot in a 3-4/4-3 hybrid adds additional appeal in my opinion. Lawson and Barnes are both possible but I think LaBoy is the only one that would come without the guarantee of starting.

    4) Sidney Rice - I think the team is going to go after at least two playmakers (Bradshaw being the first) and they will try and give Gates time to develop. I think there is a good chance that Rice's price will be lower then some expect because of his age and injury concerns and the fact that Vincent Jackson, Malcolm Floyd, Santonio Holmes and Braylon Edwards are all available in some capacity. I think a deep threat type will be the target so I suspect it will be Rice, Edwards or James Jones. Sidney Rice or Santonio Holmes would be ideal but I think Rice is in play more because I suspect both Edwards and Holmes land back with the Jets.

I don't see us getting either DeAngelo or Bradshaw. I think Sebo's list is pretty reasonable.
    I see 2 rb's
    - Sproles
    - Harrison
    - Bulger
    - olb

Well, for a start let's look at units:

    Qb: Henne, Brandstater
    Rb: Thomas, Hilliard, Sheets*, Polite
    Wr: Hartline, Bess, Marshall*
    Te: Fasano

    OL:

    RT: Carey*/Murtha
    RG: Jerry
    C: Berger, Pouncey
    LG: Richie,
    LT Big Jake, Murtha (?)

    DL:
    RDE: Starks, Merling* Odie (?)
    NT: Soliai, Baker, CBaker*
    LDE: Langford, Odie* (?)

    LB's:

    ROLB: Wake,
    RILB: Dansby, Spitler
    LILB: Crowder*, Dobbins
    LOLB: Misi, Francis

    CB:

    RCB: Davis, Will Allen*
    LCB: Sean Smith, Nolan Carroll,
    FS: Clemons, Culver
    SS: Bell, Jones

    * denotes players who missed more then 2 games due to injuries.

Well, looking at the list, what jumps out at me is:

RT and RG Jerry was sub par, Carey coming off of knee issues
ROLB No real backup for Wake
    Rb: Depth is unproven
    Qb, clearly need something else
Te; Fasano misses time every yr it seems like

Rolb back up: Antwan Barnes, young and has ST value, like LaBoy but his injuries just make him a non starter
    RT/RG: Marshall Yanda,
Rb: Jerome Harrison keep in mind we need a complimentary back and this regime imho, will not pay Williams big money as he is injury prone
Qb: Bulger makes the most sense for what they like to do, wildcard here is Dennis Dixon
    Te: How about Donald Lee?

Real Wildcard, and out of type, would be Paul Pozluszney.
