Breaking all over Twitter. Player reps unanimously approve. http://twitter.com/#!/GeorgeAtallah/status/95551217949884416 Oh, and Jeff Darlington says Dolphins employees getting all of their lost earnings back in next paycheck.
NFL Network just reported it. It looks official. I'll still wait to celebrate. Been burned too many times this off-season.
What about the tv deal lawsuit? To my understanding that still has to be resolved before the lockout can end.
PFT if ya want a summed up source. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/07/25/its-over-nflpa-leadership-unanimously-ratifies-cba/
Sweet! and with that, I can go back to posting somewhat regularly! I hated this whole lockout crap, the fact nobody worked on it for the years or so after the owners opted out, just hated everything about it. Glad that its done and over with and we can all move on with football and actually have worthy stuff to talk about!
So are they free agents now or not Muck....?? Is Mankins a free agent? Also is there an updates list of free agents available for signing on Friday at 6pm? Much appreciated if someone can provide it...
Emotional moments. Jeff Saturday spoke about Myra Kraft and her sacrifice, allowing Robert Kraft to be away negotiating while she was dying. Kraft has long been said to be the central figure uniting talks all along. Saturday said that this deal doesn't get done without Robert Kraft.
I don't know that anything 'new' happened there. I guess we'll find out if anyone got a side deal, but right now there's nothing being said about that other than they're going to sign the settlement. The official list comes out at 6 PM today.
Okay so V-Jax still is tagged, but not sure about Mankins, again guys if anybody comes along that list, please provide I am very interested in seeing it.... http://twitter.com/#!/sdutChargers/statuses/95588919495770112
They were talking about it on EEI up here, andat first he was a hardliner, if you remember he was the one who started the TV contract lawsuit......but when the Judge ruled in the players favor a few months ago that got overturned, he changed more into a mediator and liason between the owners. He literally had sit downs with rogue owners who wanted to be hardliners, and got them to come back to the table to finish it off. It isnt that he had some idea but rather took a stance of raggling the owners when they couldnt be raggled. Think about that it is pretty cool, obviously at that point the players broke off talks, and it had to be an owner to play almost anti-owner, and harrass his own collegues into getting it done. Someone had to do it and it so happened to be Kraft; what makes it special is that it was during a time when his wife left the earth far too soon. In the end the savy businessman got to take credit for ending the lockout, and gets to put it on his resume which is pretty awesome....so for that I salute you Bob...well done... Still doesnt take away I am glad I pissed on your stadium drunk one night....and my hatred for your team....
