I've seen him use spin moves in both directions one one play. BTW- I consider anything I say to be public domain, so feel free to use it.
Something has to give. They're not in good cap shape. Based on what I've heard I fully believe they're in a situation where they're heading toward making a choice between one or the other.
Based on the way they drafted the last few years and the way the roster looks now, they will probably prioritize Osi and a back and let Cofield walk since Linval Joseph and Austin were just taken with back to back second rounders. They have depth at dt. I suspect that keeping Osi is the biggest priority because of the importance of the position and because of the production Osi brings. Even though he and Coughlin have butted heads, it's pretty much common knowledge that Coughlin only rides him because of his run defense at times. I believe the cap bit for Brandon Jacobs is in the 4.6M range, they have already said that's getting redone as well.
Nate Davis is talented but has an absolutely crappy work ethic. Not to mention his disability has hampered him a bit.
Still a good signing for the Colts. Froman found a good spot in Atlanta. The team is run a lot better than ours.
Herzlich has picked the Giants NOT the Ravens: http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Mark-Herzlich-picks-Giants.html
Crap crap crap....wanted him bad....awesome story, has ST captain all over him eventually, but no Miami will stroke the Cobbs train...
Keep in mind that big offensive tackle is receiving a tryout today. Was it D.J. Jones, something like that? TE Brett Brackett QB Pat Devlin RB Nic Grigsby DB Jose Perez DB Vince Agnew OG Garrett Chisolm DE Jonathan Freeny (OT D.J. Jones - tryout) That means there could be as few as 3 more names we don't know. One of them WILL be a WR, IMO. Joe Morgan signed elsewhere but Owen Spencer hasn't yet.
Yes, DJ Jones of Nebraska is in for a tryout today. Supposedly signed an OLB convert from like Prarie State A&M too, but I've only seen it in Omar's (I think) blog.
I am still holding out hope for Zac Hurd, Brandon Saine, Deunta Williams. Anyone heard anything about these three guys?
Here's an updated UDFA list with guys removed that have signed. I may have missed some signings though. Brandon Saine appears to be signed by the Packers after all. QB: Jeff Van Camp (PW), Diondre Borel TB: Chase Reynolds FB: Matangi Tonga WR: Gerald Stevenson, David Presley, Raymond Webber (PW), Lito Senatus (PW), Owen Spencer TE: Kyle Adams, Charlie Gantt, Greg Smith, Daniel Hardy, Andre Smith (PW) OT: Shannon Breen, Matt Murphy (PW) OG: Mike Ingersoll, Pat Illig OC: Brad Serini, John Gianninoto (PW) DE: DT: OLB: Mario Addison, Keith Darbut ILB: (none) CB: Ryan Hill, Kamaal McIlwain S: Erik Stoll, Maurice Rolle Jr. (PW), Ron Parker, Dominique Davenport, Tommy Irvin, Max Lerner, Zac Etheridge Long Snapper: Pat Scales
I'm happy with the Grisby singing. I think he has both the talent and the opportunity (roster weakness) to stick. I have always seen slot WR and COP back as being positions where UDFAs can come in and surprise. They tend to be smaller guys who can slip through the cracks of the evaluation process. That's why I was leery of spending big bucks on a Sproles (whom I really like) or Reggie Bush (whom I don't like). I see it as a position that can have a big impact, but not one that requires big bucks to fill.
