He's not really a headcase from what I've seen.

 

Why would you want Brad Smith?

 

I think its the complete opposite of boom or bust. He's going to be good, but not great. 600-1000 yds and ~5 TDs.

 

No it isn't. Even in his prime Chad Johnson was no Randy Moss.

 

Chad has been wanting to go to New England since before last year, I believe. I expect that he will be a decent player for them but I still think that Deion Branch will continue to be Brady's #1 target. And they still have Welker and their TEs to spread the ball around to.

OchoCinco is still capable of being a great receiver, but he's gotten to a point where he's simply above average to good. I don't see this having a huge impact for them.

Give the Pats credit though. Here they are spending money like Dan Synder, but everyone is calling them geniuses because it's Belichek calling the shots ... I personally think that this shows continued desperation from a franchise that hasn't been to the Super Bowl since 2007 and hasn't won it all since 2004. 7 years is a long time in the NFL.

 

This is going to motivate Chad, one thing he has never had...Championship.....

With the spread offense and Brady winging it around to everybody, he will have a great year.....

Yawn. Wake me up when the Pats actually make a good move and bring some good defenders on that team, specifically, a pass rusher. 2 washed up clowns, they're for sure favorites to win the Superbowl now! Not.

The New England Patriots today announced the acquisitions of wide receiver Chad Ochocinco and defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth in a clear effort to complete their promising 2007 season a perfect 19-0.
“Chad caught 93 passes for 1,440 yards in 2007,” said Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. “He’s 33 now and hasn’t been anywhere close to those numbers the last three seasons, but I think he can really give the Giants some match-up problems in the Super Bowl being on the other side of the field as Randy Moss.”

Haynesworth, who was just 26 four years ago, would form an impressive Patriots defensive line with Richard Seymour and Vince Wilfork, if it was 2007 and Seymour was still on the team.
