Matt Moore is not getting the "savior Qb" treatment..thank goodness

Yeah the owner hasn't called him the next Dan Marino so I guess that's a nice change.

 

The Dolphins don't have #1 QB's. We start our #2. That's how it works here. lol.

 

Wait until they consider switching from Henne to Moore. That's when the parades, concerts and accolades for Moore will begin.

Nobody is saying it cause noone is thrilled by Matt Moore. Who knows, maybe he's better than Henne, but I don't see it. The most important position on the field, and arguably our weakest position, we have done virtually nothing to improve it.

That's why noone is crowing about Moore being our savior.

I would rather have Cleo lemon then Matt Moore. I hate Matt Moore with a passion. I feel like qbs like Matt Moore and Luke McCown are the laughing stocks of the NFL qb wise. I feel like they bring down our franchise as a whole. I wish we had Joey Harrington rather than Matt Moore. Plus Matt Moore it's proven that he sucks. I hope we cut him very soon.

Well...I'll say here and now, I like Matt Moore. Liked him in college and am glad he is a Dolphin. IMO he isn't as bad as many here want us to believe. His arm is not as bad as some here want us to believe. He doesn't have a Henne Howitzer, but few do. He does show that he is capable of good timing, touch and accuracy IMO. He lacks consistency at this point. While he did not play well last season, he did play part of the time with a torn right labrum, or so I recall reading.

If he does earn the chance to start at any time, excuse me if I am happy for him.

 

He can throw either end with equal aplomb. Guess that makes him amballdextrous.

 

I am just amazed since Jimmy Johnson (run run run punt, handcuffing marino's audibling) how undervalued the QB is in this team. The philosophy hasn't changed even with multiple coaching and owner changes. I call it the curse of the Marino.

Chad Henne better be our starter opening day if he isnt our season is done before it even starts. For those of you that think Matt Moore is good, what has made you think this?

I just dont see a starting qb, a good qb, or a second string qb in Matt Moore. He was a bad signing, there are better qbs out there. I feel like we screwed up. We need to go get Marc Bulger at the very least it will challenge henne

 

No wonder we didn't make the playoffs last year...we only played nine games. This coaching staff is terrible.

I think you should wait until Matt Moore suits up and starts throwing passes before you breathe a sigh of relief that nobody is giving him the "savior treatment".

To echo what Rocky said, I think this front office handled the QB situation as well as possible. No one can argue that Kolb got overpayed for what he has proven in this league. I'm glad to see us not get married to another unproven QB and sell the farm to get him. I've heard that it wasn't the compensation that held up the deal with the Broncos, it was the contract Orton demanded. Once again, not getting married to another team's cast off. Smart. Not giving up valuable draft picks for unproven/mediocre guys when next year's draft will be the deepest at QB since 2004. Smart.

Unless Orton backs off his contract demands, It's Henne's team now. We sink or swim with him. And I wouldn't be surprised to see Orton in Washington. So it is what it is. We've got a lot of unproven guys at QB and I think we all realize that.
