    edit: I do think Colombo was at one point a solid starter but it remains to be seen if he has much left to offer imo. I do think he is at least a solid back up

    Because they know them. Instead of reaching out for younger talent, as Nabo said, they grab their "blankie" which are Cowboys players that they are familiar with.

    they drafted some of them, coached some of them. Familiarity. NOTHING wrong with that. But wait, Bush wasn't from Dallas, Marshall wasn't from Dallas, Taylor wasn't from Dallas and others that are contributers. It seems to me that the dallas guys are brought in for depth.
