Organizing practices is hard work now??? This isn't any different than the dozens of QBs that organize summer camps.

I just want to know this. What room does Tony Sparano have to talk about this when he never fails to pass up an opportunity to give a vote of confidence in Chad Henne.

Almost every time I've seen him talking about the QB position, he continues to use the phrase "right now" or some other qualifier implying that they still want to do something about the QB position. He's even come right out and said they're "keeping [their] eyes open" and when he was asked about Brett Favre, did he deny it for the ridiculous question it was? No. He practically affirmed that they WOULD be interested in Favre. Oh and then of course they talk about full competition with Matt Moore even though on the open market Moore just claimed a backup's contract (< $3.0 million per year).

This all from the man that benched Chad Henne twice, and immediately when the season was over gushed about how he wants a quarterback with better feet that can extend plays because his studies have shown him that's the source of chunk plays in an NFL passing game.

Oh, but HE is in a position to cast judgment on fans for letting their feelings about Chad Henne be known in a public setting. Right. Screw that. This hypocrite's been letting the world know his feelings on Chad Henne for over six months. And let's not forget, even before all that, all those reports we heard about people inside the building being disappointed in Chad Henne's progress (or lack thereof)...before the 2010 season even started.

This isn't about whether or not I like Chad Henne. This is about them systematically assassinating him and then trying to stand by him, all while STILL continuing to assassinate him, and then casting judgment on the fans for booing him.

    Hypocrites.

When has Sparano ever let his feelings about Henne be known publicly?

Really? dozens of QBs crammed with new OCs, carried out one of the most successful offseason work outs, while teaching his offensive players the new playbook?

Would you care to elaborate on some of these dozens of QBs you're referring to?

Exactly. If I remember right the Dolphins and the Saints had the most participation during the lockout and that is pretty impressive that a young guy like Henne showed better leadership during the lockout than most vets. Even if you don't like Henne you have to admit that.

Do you really think this stuff is out of the ordinary?

I have no desire to find links for every QB thats done this type of thing. But just for argument's sake, here is a great example:

    Another:

    And another for good measure:

I really wanted to stop, but all this hard work can't go without being mentioned:

I could go on all day:

Sorry to post another, but I think Alex Smith's hard work shouldn't go unnoticed:

A lot of hardworking NFL QBs this offseason

so what you're saying is Tebow & Beck didn't work hard because a couple other QBs worked equally as hard?

or are you trying to say Tebow doesn't work hard.

to be honest, I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish by comparing Henne's work ethic to Tebow's bc the last time I checked, Tebow's work ethic is phenomenal. I would think comparing the two would be a compliment to Henne rather than whatever it is you're trying to imply.

or are you trying to say that Tebow's worth ethic is bad and doesn't deserve appreciation?

All I did was respond to your question:

I think its clear that what Chad Henne did this offseason wasn't any different than what other QBs around the league were doing. I don't think it warrants high praise.

I have no idea how hard Tebow or Beck or Alex Smith worked this offseason. If all they did was organize practices, I would say thats not very hard work at all. But I have no idea what they did with the 95% of their time that wasn't mentioned in those fluff-pieces.

Great. Yahoo home page. Story about how "Fans make NFL coach feel sick". Cover story. Nice work, Tony.

And you know what's funny? By all accounts we're talking about like 20 people that started chanting about Orton. Now even non-Sports, non-Football fans will see this story. Why? Because Tony had to make a statement instead of letting it die.

It just reinforces my view of him: meathead, through and through. Can't think more than two moves out, doesn't see around corners even when he takes them wide.

all Henne has to do is the right thing this season & he'll hear different song, one he'll like
don't blame the fans. they don't play the game, they pay for it
Sparano could find himself a part of this musical, if he doesn't get off to a good start straight up
don't see an appetite for more stupidity or incompetence @ head coach amongst the fan-base either

simply put: everybody is on thin ice this year.

No, b/c some fans don't have the decorum or restraint to keep their mouths shut in the first place.
    Horse before the cart please.

People are upset about things all the time.
Does that mean it's acceptable behavior to razz everyone who stirs your emotions and then hide behind some lame 1st amendment argument?

Next time my pizza doesn't arrive in 30 minutes or less and I'm a hungry, I guess it's acceptable behavior to show up at the restaurant and boo and heckle the driver. After all, I'm a paying customer, right....... been eatin their pizzas for years...... so I'm ENTITLED.
"Boooooo!!! Booooooo!!! you can't get here on time!! Boooo!! We-- want-- Robert! We-- want-- Robert!!!
.. (and I don't care if he delivers for another company)."

So who wants to volunteer to be that guy?

So because more than 1 QB might be working extremely hard, that nullifies any single person from receiving appreciation for his hard work? That makes absolutely no sense. If you work hard, you work hard. Since when does hard work not get recognized just because a few others are also working hard?

"I don't think he's getting as much credit as he deserves because he's been busting his butt," receiver Davone Bess said

I think Henning is responsible for the offensive ineptitutde, and when Henning was annointed by Parcells, Sparano inherited the ineptitude, I believe Sparano has the ability to recognize what was wrong, and adapt his scheme to be more unpredictable and open, I believe he has that in him, which quite frankly I think you will be pleasantly suprised about.

I don't see playing close to the vest as a correct characterization for our offense this year..I think it will be normal for lack of a better term, something balanced, but not favoring one way, and to go with this defense, thats the right way to go..Improve the special teams, which I believe is realistic, and we may have a team that suprises a whole lotta folks.
