Journalism is biased these days, they don't care about how the team performs... they just want to be right.
Just pointing out the adjective war being actively waged between your training camp reports and the Sun Sentinel's training camp reports, with respect to QB play.
Well, like I said, he could have been horrible for a good chunk of practice and I'd have no idea. QBs/WRs/RBs we on the right half of the close field, OL/TEs/DL/OLBs on the left side. I moved over to the left and pretty much watched them the majority of that portion, since I didn't really get to watch them do much Saturday. I'm not trying to wage war on anyone's opinions, especially since I'm not really in a position to argue with their judgements without watching much of the QB play today.
Not accusing anyone of anything. I just find the adjective war interesting. Adjectives and other descriptors are often placed unnecessarily, arbitrarily. One guy says so and so completed a pass to so and so, another guy says so and so threw a "strike" or threw a "laser" to so and so. In some places we can see the same throw being described as a "wobbler" by one and by another as having great zip, showing off arm strength. I'm just pointing out that I've been reading your reports and I read the Sentinel's and Herald's reports and there's a lot of adjective war going on between y'all, as it concerns the offense and especially the passing game. Not anyone's fault, but something to take note of.
Well, I'm sure those guys were watching the QBs much more than I was, since that is what they seem to focus on. I do think that you probably touched on it in regards to their assessments and them smelling blood in the water... but they also saw much more of him than I so I would lean towards their evauations since mine were made on a smaller sample size. The only time I really took notes on the QB, was when a particular throw really caught my eye while I was watching the OL. Those will tend to be the really good ones, lol. I'll really watch the QBs next practice I go to for ya... try to give you a more thorough and well rounded assessment of his play, Devlin's, and Moore's. Now, if anyone has a conflicting assessment of the guys in the trenches from yesterday, I'll definitely stand my by assessment.
These camps are not at full speed, there not in full pads, for some reporters to portray that a QB is playing like sh^% during these circumstances is pretty ridiculous to me, we all know the guy can drop and throw the football beautifully, in circumstances such as the first 2 days in camp I highly doubt he did much wrong.
In a last minute decision, I decided to come out to practice tonight. Couldn't resist seeing the new guys. However, it still hasn't started, and a dark storm is just west and its slowly creeping in. I got a feeling that this ain't gunna happen...
