"fortunately one of the good things i was looking at in this situation was the stability of the quarterback, the qb is here and everybody knows who it is... not to knock on miami but since ive been there ive played with maybe 12 or 13 different guys out of that position, so to have a little stability is gonna make a lot of difference"

this is quite funny but a little embarrassing/ridiculous... as i am one of the "henne believers" i really hope henne ends up working out well this year because i am soooo sick of the word "quarterback" and hearing about our qb situation everywhere and hearing friends talk sh** about our qb etc etc, not only in every offseason, but all year long!

Interesting, but truthful. The Rah-rah crowd will be pissed. Next expect venom from then directed at Brown. All of a sudden all his warts will be discussed ad nauseum.

He wants to play for a head coach and front office that value the QB position. Who can blame him? Andy Reid will get good things from him as long as he stays healthy. I'm just glad it's not Bill Billichick with him on the roster.

That's an odd comment considering Vick has been with the Eagles for all of 1 year and isn't necessarily the definition of a stable individual.

True, but you can at least look at the Eagles and see that their coaching staff is all in with Vick. They're devoted to him, their building around him, they are calling plays that fit his strengths, they trust his ability, they are 150% all on board with the fact that Vick is their QB. Everyone in the organization is on board with that. In Miami, nobody is on board with who the QB is unfortunately. Hell even if you aren't 100% sold on Henne, if he's going to be your guy, you've at least got to come out, say that, work with it, work to build to his strengths, none of what we did last year. I think that's what Ronnie is getting at.

Considering Vick didn't play all 16 games nor was he the starter to begin with. Now they have Vince Young who more than likely will see playing time. Don't get me wrong Andy Reed is one very smart coach but their qb stable has not sat still lately either. He's landed in a good spot though very much potential there. Good luck.
How could you not be onboard with Vick playing like that? Only problem is who really thinks he can stay healthy for a entire season. The odds can't be good.

I don't think it's an odd comment. They have had general QB stability for the past decade. And, given Vick's statistics last year, in spite of his injury stretch, there's a reason the coaches and FO staff are all behind him. So would Miami's fans, FO and coaches.

    100.2, 21/6 = stability at QB.

    75.4, 15/19 = instability, insecurity & uncertainty at QB.

    Simple as that.

Very honest comments, I would be looking forward to getting a fresh start with a stable franchise if I was Ronnie too. He's had what 3 head coaches, a number of offensive coordinators, different linemen, qbs every year, can't blame him if he wants to go to a team that has an identity and established coaches/personnel. Everyone knows who the Eagles are and what they do week in and week out, year in and year out, we haven't been stable in the Qb position since Marino's heyday and our coaching staff hasn't won anything since Shula's.

This is the best comment so far. How is this a stable QB situation. While he is a good QB all teams have a yr to game plan this guy again. No team expected muh from vick he proved them wrong but he now has there full attention. It will not be so easy this yr. Philly did put in pieces though to help him they are the front runners in the preseason superbowl, Rex Ryan has to be pissed lol

edit: i took out the dog part!

Ugh...I loathe the eagles. You need to be near Philly to appreciate how disgusted this makes me.

Eagle fans think they are the toughest and try to take pride in that. But they're not. They're just the scumbaggiest. Outside of NE or the Jests, there is no other team I'd rather see fail miserably. I hope they botch this run. And Ronnie being there makes me ill.

This is the same Andy Reid who 2 years ago dumped his long time starting QB for a back-up with little experience and then dumped that back-up for his back-up. It worked out for Reid and now people just assume that Vick will be the long term solution for the Eagles. But that is all it is at this point, an assumption. Ronnie's comments would make more sense if he went somewhere with a long-time franchise QB like NE, Indy etc...

What he said is true. Ronnie himself threw a few better passes than some of the QBs he played with during his time here

I hear ya, but there's more to it than that. Like I said, what I think Ronnie is getting at is the fact that the coaching staff, at this point in time is "all in" with Mike Vick. He's their guy, theyre tailoring their offense to his skill set, getting him playmakers etc. etc. That creates the so called stability at QB. Everyone in the organization knows its Vick, everyone is aware that everything they do is centered around Vick. It's not like that here. It never has been.

    Agree completely Seth.
It just hurts that Brown is now an Eagle.

Worst possible scenario. I want to wish him success but I can't with that team.
I honestly think I would rather have him as a Jet or Pat.

But everything Ronnie said was the complete truth.

The arrogance of the pessimistic self proclaimed expert crowd is nauseating. It is a wonder the Phins havent hired one of you, but of course your thinking teh same thing to right?

I love teh haters that dont listen to anything that differs from their view as if noone has any intelligence unless we think like you. Reading some comments keep patting yourself on teh back while we sit and laugh.

For the last time, noone NOT ONE, NOT A SINGLE PERSON says Henne is great and our qb situation is solved. But football is more complex then stat lines and if you cant see that I am not the one with the issue. Orton, yeah he is an upgrade based on results to this point. but is he really your long term solution? You forego a qb in 12 draft? go ahead and give up a 2 and starks and sign him to an extention and see if we have the ammo to move up and get one of those qbs in teh draft. So you go Orton or Palmer you forego the 12 draft. Dont like it, too bad, unless you want to trade wake and Vontae or teh equiv plus 2 #1's. I am not fine with that, hey maybe you are.

Point is dont call people out when you have as many flaws in your position as well. Henne in all likelihood wont be the long term solution, but neither is Orton. so yeah band aid desparation moves are teh smart moves in your opinion is that it? NE panic when Bledsoe went down? Did Stl panic when Green went down? no. You dont make panic moves.

please stop making condescending posts towards people that disagree with you. your position hasnt been proven superior, so it is annoying

    Edit
I apologize for caalling out, but the point is being called out for having a diff opinion sucks, it angers. Noone disputes teh qb situation is in disarray, we just disagree on how to fix it. It is not that we think Henne is it, we just think there wasnt any better options accounting for teh cost it would take to get that option. So lets just stop with the biting posts and debate football issues

That's not what actually happened. Reading what you want to read. He never said anything about the play of the QB. He was talking about the movement of trying to get another QB and how in 07 he played with three and how in 09 he played with two. The Joey Harrington Sage Rosenfels year. 2010 even saw three QB's.

I wish only the best for Ronnie. It is a shame that he was drafted during a time of extreme instability for the Dolphins. However, it hasn't just been the QB that has been a revolving door.

I despise the Eagles. Their fans are scumbags only second to Jests fans. Ronnie is wrong about their QB situation too. Vick has been there 1 season, how is that "stable"? I said it last season and I'll say it again; next season Vick will get injured, play like the crappy QB he is or both. My bet is VY will be playing us in week 14.

Actually, Vick has been with the Eagles for 2 seasons now. He was backup to McNabb before the trade to the Redskins last year.

They didn't try to trade for a second or even third tier QB. That's stability. They got rid of the one guy who would have created controversy. That's stability. They are set at QB.

Eh. Whatever. Let see how well Mrs. Brown's health holds up. He was only good for about 10 games a season down here. How quickly will his fragile body breakdown playing on turf?

They weren't committed to Vick until after last year. Hell, even after he played tremendously, Kolb was still being called the starter by Andy Reid. If it wasn't for the media backlash and from his team, he'd have stubbornly put Kolb back at starter I think. Also, most of all those pieces were in place before Vick. They got him Ronnie Brown this year. So, it's not like they've built everything around him. They're running the same offense over that they have for years now.

Had Chad Henne gone out and played the way Vick did, you'd here nothing negative about him. He didn't. Thus, you have questioning.

My point still stands...Vick has been good one year. He will suck next year. BANK IT! ;)

As I wrote before, I only wish Ronnie the best, but on turf, playing NFC East teams 2 times per year...yeah, he most likely will get banged up sooner rather than later.

I think the Eagles crash and burn this seasons....When was the last time the "loaded" team won the Super Bowl?

I keep watching everyone just clamor over the eagles moves. I know all of you watched the Bears exploit Vick. You couldn't help it, the eagles were the prime time jewel at the end of the year. Fact is, Vick in the pocket is good, great arm and pretty accurate. If he rolls left you are screwed. Rolls right, he is going to pull it down, get sacked, or throw a pick. Once the bears exploited him, the Eagles were .500 getting bounced in first game by GB. Case in point, Minn sacked him 6 times. Really? 6 frickin times. Luck? No. When you got allen coming off the edge where is he going? To the right and down. Eagles will not make it to the bowl with Vick. He has too many flaws that good DC's can take advantage of. I am kind of looking forward to week 14 with our pass rush nightmare!
