Chris Hatcher of Murray State is probably the most basic Air Raid guy I've seen. He doesn't have landmarks (i.e. hashes and numbers) for his WRs to line up at, he has 4 running plays and 5 step drops and then he relies on a few concepts (most notably Mesh) and mainly constraint plays (screens, draws, PA, etc.). He is really basic, calls his offense a "well coached backyard team" and installs it in 3 days (just like Mike Leach, Hal Mumme, Dana Holgorsen). Sounds crazy and all but look at the guys record. I think hes 100-32? That's off the top of my head but I think its right. I studied his O because hes a Leach guy. He'll get a better coaching job soon.

EDIT: We run the above too. Everything is same.

patriots offense is mostly quick reads and short throws... then the occasional bomb, sounds similar to a WCO to me

I dunno about anyone else, but I'm excited to see the offense grow into the system. I hope it works out.

For once I actually think we'll have an offense with good variety and unpredictability.

Of course, that will mean mixed results as we use trial and error to see what works for our squad and what doesn't. We'll REALLY see this offense around november, imo. Before that it'll be like a beta version, full of stuff that does work AND doesn't work.

I think this season is huge for Daboll. We'll learn a lot about him, mainly his teaching.

I wish I could buy into that; it would be nice to believe something positive about this administration.

But, no, I don't believe it. I don't believe it because more than the OC, the team's Offensive personality will reflect the HC, and our HC is as risk-averse as they come.

When Henne (or whoever starts) comes back to the sideline after series, it will be Sparano in his ear first with his soul-crushing reprimands about every little thing he saw wrong and his admonitions not to make mistakes.

I don't see Henne ever developing as long as Sparano has his gutless way with him.

Sorry for what? This is the most informative and intresting thread (besides Nasty's TC reports) that this website has seen in weeks.
Every other thread is a *****fest of one form or another.

Chris Hatcher is off Hal Mumme tree.

Heres a site that explains the Air Raid.

On the flip side Chris was labeled, "the next great college OC".

Yeah that's right. Through Mumme. I just say Leach because hes most recent and they are really, really similar but you're right.

You a fan of his? Or Murray State?

Alen I've never seen you add anything but good stuff to any thread you have been part of. You are polite to a fault but you really have nothing to apologize for here.
