I think we finally can see why we had to get Reggie Bush more than any of the other RBs. He's the only elusive, fast third-down back that can probably catch the inaccurate check downs Chad Henne will throw out there.

2.7 ypc. Not sure I'd worry too much about the run defense.

Chad Henne with real good numbers today folks.
I don't remember him having a day in camp like this previously.
Where are all the haters at today. I know it is just a scrimmage but you have to give the guy a little credit after all the heat he has taken from this fanbase. Especially from those who said he has given up and is done.
I don't think Chad Henne was listening folks.

Glad to see Chad string together three really good days in a row after a slow start. Hopefully the light is starting to come on for him.

And a kid asking Omar Kelly for an autograph is just about the saddest thing since the Titanic sank.

Any updates at all on Gaither? On paper with Gaither in the fold that would be the most talented offensive line in football.

I'm not completely sure what they are going to do with him, so far he sounds like a TE/Rb/Fb hybrid.

That will create some matchup headaches.

As for Henne, good practice, keep in mind they were defending Beast man to man with no safety help though...something I do not mind very much as the offense has to find it's rhythm..then adjust..then impose it's will.

Don't know who said Henne has given up. Perhaps I missed. And, I'm not a hater - Henne has even had good games. But, there are hundreds of QB's who've had good scrimmages and never panned out. The important matter is that he has a good season. That's all that matters, frankly. Though cheers to him for the pre--pre-season scrimmage results.

This is the common thing people who back a player always do ... he has a good game (or scrimmage in this case) and it's "See, he's a good QB - he can do it." It only, only, only matters if he has a good season. If not, it doesn't matter what he does in a single game. He could go 25-25, 400 yards and 6 TD's in a game and if the Dolphins go 7-9 and he winds up with a 78 passer rating, it doesn't matter.

But, when he does well in games that count - of course I'll cheer. I'm rooting for him every play to do well. I don't want any player on the Phins to fail - I don't think any fan really does. I may think he's a bad option and that the odds of his success are against him; and I may want a different QB to man this team. But, whomever the starter may be - I and all fans should and will be rooting for him once he steps on the field. There's a difference between thinking a guy is not a good NFL calibre QB, that the team won't succeed with him, but rooting for him to do well once he's one the field, happily see him do well ... and being a hater. Those are two separate matters.

It still concerns me as well b/c if Lex fails to produce (or there's an injury), we're potentially in trouble. lol. I'm more concerned about our Oline than I am Lex TBH.

There's not that much to be concerned about with the OL right now other than Jake's health. It's tough to see Miami playing that many different possibilities at RT and not finding one that can play the spot.

but if you listen to Omar, Henne had a pick 6 and Marshall threw 3 TDs to himself.

I guess I don't know how to read tweets, because that appears to me like Andrew Carter is tweeting to Omar, because of the '@' in front of Omar's name. That it was Andrew who got asked to autograph a football. You all are responding like it was Omar tweeting that he got asked to sign the ball. So how can you tell in a case like that who is tweeting what to whom?

Carter just used Kelly's twitter address to mention he was asked for a autograph.

It was the equivalent of him saying, "Omar just got asked . . ." He just used his twitter handle in addressing him. What he probably doesn't realize is that unless he puts a "." before Omar's handle it acts as an @ reply and only people that follow them both will see it. That's a common mistake on Twitter.

I said it was just one scrimmage in my post. Why make it out like I called him a Pro Bowl QB.
I just think after all the heat he took from the fanbase he deserves some credit for going out and having a great practice. Sick said he stole the show today and that is what we want to hear. As far as how naysayers will carry out how they will deal with Henne if successful really has no bearing to me.
FWIW there were people here saying that Henne was shot and would fold after the Orton chant fiasco.
