I only got on Twitter to follow beat writers and players since I have been pulling my hair out for some football as long as you guys. Sheets was one of the players I was following. To be honest with you, I hope he doesn't make the team. He comes across as a little punk. N-bomb this and that constantly. Said he was in it for the money. Follow him and see for yourself. I'm pretty surprised that he has not been told to chill yet.
Who cares if hes in it for the money, who cares how he speaks. As long as he stays out of legal trouble, and he is productive, so be it.
There are a lot of guys who play for the money. No different than any other walk of life. He may present himself as immature. Maybe he is. But as long as he's productive, buys in and keeps his nose clean, I don't really care.
seems like a typical stupid banger and I hope his spot is taken by Grigsby. I think he is the better RB anyway and I for one don't want these types of players on our team either
I've been following the guy for a while. Clearly, we're different people. I don't always find his tweets tasteful. But I have never seen him act in a way that makes me question his motivation or commitment to the team. In fact, following him on Twitter through his injury and this extended offseason has only made me root for the guy more. I don't expect players to be saints or have the same taste or cultural values that I do. But the kid just worked his butt off to come back from a serious injury and has looked good in camp.
Exactly, these are football players...not exactly the types of dudes you want dating your sister or daughter.
alrighty then, why doesn't someone who follows him tell him there might be kids following his tweeter account.
A few of you said that as long as he's producing, you don't mind it........... How about for a guy who's yet to produce anything? lol. I haven't seen the tweets, but it seems like he should keep his mouth quiet until he proves himself on the field.
- Posts removed - Do not, I repeat, DO NOT mention or discuss politics in the football forums. That is not new and we take it very seriously. Thank you
It's his personal twitter account. What the OP is objecting to is the 'off field' comments he makes. What he does on the field has no baring on his non-football tweets. You don't have to like him. I don't particularly care for what I've read the past year. But it is what it is and it ain't gonna resonate with everyone. When we said we 'don't mind', we mean it has no baring on whether he's on the team or not.
I dont find him offensive at all, yeah he talks to chicks all the time, but you know he is a guy.....however he has answered my questions many times, one of the rare players that actually do on there....his work ethic is there thats for sure...I hopes he gets a break and does well.... The OP doesnt think the N-bomb is dropped in NFL lockerooms league-wide....
Not to mention all the impressionable Muslims:
Been following him since last year, and sure, some of his tweets (especially about women) are immature. But he's still a young, single man, who apparently has issues w/ the opposite sex following him around all the time. I forgive him some immaturity. Many of his other tweets are about working hard, and getting ready for the season. Overall, I find him somewhat entertaining.
I missed the part where Sheets was productive? Either way who cares? His tweets and play on the field have little bearing on anything.
I personally think college coaches wil put a end to tweeting . i but for the pro's I dont have a problem with our players being wise apples.
