What is this, tennis? Nut up or get the **** out! I can't ****ing believe the refs actually stopped the game and asked Shula to make their own crowd tone it down. Standing around and whining... that ain't football. The outcome of the eventual play was such poetic justice. God bless the OrangeBowl's soul.
Great game and great crowd noise, but the LOUDEST we ever got was on a Monday night in December 1981 when the Eagles were ahead in the mid 4th qtr, 10-6 and we needed a win badly. The crowd rose up in the Orange Bowl, and Ron Jaworski came to the line of scrimmage 8 times before he finally got the play off - an INT to one of the Blackwood brothers (Lyle I believe) who ran it back to the 10 or 8 yrd line and on the next play Nathan took it in and we then held on to win the game 13-10. That was an amazing game too.......for me more exciting than the Bears in 1985.
not to be a debbie downer but in no way is this fun for me to watch.. A lot of what is wrong with this franchise is directly attributed to leaving that place, and not replacing it with something that the fanbase and the players could continue to establish an identity of intimidation and energy Its a shame that the suits cannot understand the importance of an intimate home field advantage and how it pertains to team and player's performance, and how it could affect the total dynamics of a fanbase and their pocketbooks.. I love hearing how no'one can figure out why were so bad at home, but so good on the road..Ive heard people who are considered experts, at a loss for words......funny, yet obvious to me.. Its a big deal, and ''its going to take a certain type of player and team, to win in that stadium..
Start a petition to Ross. I have schematics for a new phons stadium at the rate the economy is going, I MIGHT have my Architectural license about the time we build a new one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Love the OB...my last game there was the 28-27 win over FSU when Xavier Beitia's (sp?) kick went wide left. From where I sat I couldn't tell if he made it at first--especially when Seminole players started coming on to the field--but then they stopped and a sea of orange flooded the field. I thought the OB was gonna fall down it was so loud...good times
I'll do anything you want me to, picket, petition.... we wrote a letter to Mike dee before, with no response...I wrote everything I could... ''OB2''...Thats what it should be called , a stadium built to spec, with one intention in mind, pure intimidation thru intimacy, energy, and crowd noise...you wanna talk about ELECTRIFYING AND UNITING A FANBASE AND A FOOTBALL TEAM, and make money that would pay for the project in the process, then just have the balls and the cash to do it, and its a homerun.. Its a cancer to a football team, canes and dolphins..Were just gonna have to beat teams without an advantage..disadvantage us.
