I can see it now, ripping defenses a new one as our defense does its thing
HENNE! HENNE! HENNE! I dont know why i am starting to like him now more than ever because there isn't much evidence to support OUR liking but I just do, or WE do.
Im way too excited for this season and my excitement forced me to start this post... hopefully i have a lot to be excited for, which we will

Can't wait to see Yeremiah laying the wood, Vontae being SHUTDOWN CORNER OF THE YEAR, Cam Wake causing havoc, just wanna see this defense in action. A year under their belt, upgraded the ILB position, another year for our corners to learn the game. Oh, can't forget the D-line.... (monsters). I can see us being a top 5 d run AND pass.

I'm also starting to get hopeful about what Henne might be able to accomplish this season. I don't know if it's just my usual Dolphin blind faith that kicks in around this time of year, or maybe I'm putting too much stock in [iverson]PRACTICE[/iverson], but I'm excited nonetheless.

I do know one thing. Henne is our best case scenario for this year. Give him his shot, and if he fails we know where we stand. I do wish he had earned the job through better competition instead of the 3rd string QB from the worst team in the NFL last year.

Henne just needs to consistently lead our offense to being dangerous. He needs to play with confidence, and swagger. Once he starts to get quality starts under his belt....it will get much easier for him to dominate, and really leverage his big arm. If he is erratic....and has some good...some bad....we're still not gonna be the dangerous offense we could be.

We all know Henne can make most of the throws needed. He has a great arm. He has some good talent around him. Outside and inside. I think the two keys to his success this year is going to be how well we can establish our run game, which was a let down last year with the injuries to R&R, the death of the wildcat and the injuries on the oline. The other key will be how Daboll uses Henne and how much he lets him manage our offense.

If the new offense is geared towards Henne's strengths and the running game is at least solid, I have a very strong feeling this offense will suprise many people. For the phins to be competative I believe the offense has to be decent, because the D is going to keep a lot of games close.

Beast will be his primary target that will be a good connection, Bess will be the safety valve outlet in key situations or key matchups, Clyde will stretch the field and Reggie will provide some key big plays out of the passing game when opportunities arise. It could be a balanced attack, but if teams easily shut down our running game Henne will have some big odds to overcome, as does any one dimensional offense.

Hold on and remember that feeling. Sadly I feel you will forget this joy soon enough. Just my opinion though. Nothing about this team is proven. Were relying way to much on hope and prayers this year.

We've proven we're a .500 team (if we don't get raped by refs).

Key word here "swagger" but imagine if us fans and the staff showed 100% dedication to henne. Rather than everyone and the media making henne and the rest of the world convinced that he sucked, we should have just called last season his "sophomore slump" just like the other 99.9% of all qbs that have ever played in this league have had... excluding Dan Marino haha............... then we would be playing with all sorts of swag. Henne and the rest of us would have more confidence going into this. But enough of this bull shi*, shoulda, woulda, coulda. I feel like we are off to a fresh start and looking better than ever. Now if henne can open up the first 2 or 3 games like we ALL know he can and how we are hopeful that he will, then for the remaining 14 games and for the first time in a verrrrrryyy long time....
OTHER TEAMS and FANS WILL BE SCARED OF US!! REALLY SCARED

I'm actually pretty high on Marshall's fantasy value this year. I'm hoping there's some big report on his borderline personality disorder or another Tebow or Favre 'esque rumor right before my fantasy draft so that I can pick him up late.

I have a little different take. There were just too many anomalies that occurred before and during the season last year that are extremely unlikely to reoccur and it at least gives me encouragement the Dolphins will be a better team this year.

The 1[SUP]st[/SUP] was loosing Thomas, Smiley and Grove right out of camp because they weren’t healthy enough to compete. Going from the 4[SUP]th[/SUP] best rushing team to 21[SUP]st[/SUP] is a drastic slide. If Jake can’t go they might be in the same boat, but if he can an OL of Long, Incognito, Pouncey, Carey and whichever RT rises to the top should bring them right back to where they were in ’09.

Dropped interceptions on both sides of the ball were easily the biggest curse of all though.

The defense lead the league with 19 dropped picks and Henne only had 1 dropped interception. Both league leaders.

I just can’t imagine it could be that bad 2 years in a row and either do the odds.
