NFC Superior? Green Bay, Philly are only elite teams in NFC... Giants are looking like a mess right now, Dallas always overrated, Atlanta? nah.. In AFC...NE, Jets, Pitt, Balt, Indy...and maybe SD...have to win a big game for once...but all these teams right with GB and Philly...
Yeah, not a shock that Detroit is many people's sleepers, particularly with Minnesota and Chicago on the decline. They've got hope for their football team in 2011, but crappy winter weather. We've got great winter weather...
Yes, we did. During a rebuilding period and with a roster that pales in comparison to the one that will take the field this season. If we make the playoffs in 2011 it'll mean we had a better record than either NE, NYJ, Pitt, Bal, SD or Indy.IMO that'd be a major improvement over the last couple of years and a reason to believe that we may finally be on the right track as a franchise.
actually, i wish we were ranked 32nd so they play with a chip on their shoulder. they seem to play better that way.
I love the fact that our ranking is low. It lowers everyone's expectations, insults the coaches into action and gives the other teams a false sense of security. There are times when it is great to be underestimated. Here are some others rankings. . . http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/powerrankings has us at 19th http://walterfootball.com/nflpowerrankings.php has us at 20th
good! always better to go into the season as the under-dog. made my feelings clear on the last thread I posted: I believe this is the over-all best talent Miami has sported on a team in decades all Chad Henne has to do is put in a yeoman-like performance & we're in the play-offs & I believe with the up-graded surrounding offensive cast, he can manage the offense just a little concerned about getting the offensive line right, but not overly concerned there's serious talent available & the offensive line is one thing Sparano really knows I believe this is an opportunity we cannot let slip away... no more excuses!
The offensive line is a huge question. I am also very concerned about the running back position. An unproven rookie. Reggie Bush - who is a much better receiver than a runner. And then a slew of unproven backs. We need to address this with a veteran addition - and not Tiki Barber!
