Again, if their "rationale" isn't rational, objective, or well thought out I will call them out. I have no problem with people who disagree with me. I do have a problem with ignorant ****-tards who run around proclaiming "this team sucks", "the coaches suck", "crowder sucked" etc etc and provide no reasoning as to why they write such things. And typically when I ask those people "WHY" they either ignore me or say that "they watched the game" and leave it at that. If I wanted to read that drivel I'd join a Jets forum. I challenge you to show one post where I've written off someone's opinion when that opinion was explained in a reasonable, thought out, and objective manner. One... I may not agree with them, but I'll engage in a debate with them.
When this regime started out, the ILBs were both mainly run stuffers in Akin and CC. After two seasons, we replace one run stuffer with an all around ILB, who can pass cover as well as he can play the run. Can make big plays on a regular basis. Then in the 4th year, we see the 2nd one dimensional run stuffer get replaced with Karlos Dansby Lite, in Kevin Burnett. We now have two 3 down ILBs who can do something in pass coverage and still do a good enough job vs the run. IMO, if all ILBs needed to do was play the run, then heck we may still have Akin and CC as starters. But as has been mentioned here many times, the league is now about who can pass and who can best defend the pass. We are willing to sacrifice a little in run defense at ILB for the sake of all around ability and better pass defense. I think when we see the Pats add 2 solid rookie TEs last season, and thereby increasing very likely the amount of 2 TE sets the Pats run, and that both of the young TEs can run and catch, the final addition of KB is as much to counteract what the Pats did as any other single reason. JMO.
What can I say about Crowder? Well....
