http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/thed...ndon-marshalls-house-after-stabbing-incident/ update, blog crashed. read here:http://www.palmbeachpost.com/sports...nd-bloody-handgun-magazine-among-1727602.html
without reading it, I do remember Marshall coming out saying he locked her in a closet or something ridiculous...
I got that, and I'm saying that if she was wielding a knife and going after him, he's def going to get some cuts trying to get it out of her hands or blocking her from stabbing him. I'm pretty confident that as dumb as Marshall is, he could properly cut his own wrists if he wanted to. Don't think he'd use a knife w/a 13inch blade either.
He never once blamed his wife. Not to the police, not to the press, not when he talked to the police a second time, he always maintained that his wife was NOT responsible for the wounds. He might have done it to himself, but he never tried to pin it on her.
What concerns me about the confusion is the simple fact that she told police that she stabbed him, but only in self defense. That muddies the situation considerably considering Brandon keeps saying she didn't stab him.
Whatever happened the man has some serious mental health issues that IMO arent something to be joked about. Having seen a few very good friends be diagnosed with similar issues in the last few years its not much fun trying to deal with them and they need every bit of help from specialists they can get. Hopefully since he has acknowledged his prroblems he can work on getting them resolved and if it makes him focus more on his football then thats great
Assuming BM did this to himself she was protecting him. Knowing his mental conditionng and how he has been she is probably thinking this will push him over if it gts out he tried to kil himself and who knows what to her. If he is in the mental state he claims I absolutley believe he would have done this to himself.
It could be that he attempted to take his own life, common in BPD folks. It could be they put out the story the way they did to protect Marshall (attempted suicide) and at the same time, his wife (him repeatedly saying she did not come after him). There is still more to this story and I'm sure I really don't want to know more, just that Marshall and his wife are dealing with this incident and the mental illness in a way that is best for both of them. This revelation of the BPD actually sheds more light on why this kid can't seem to stay out of problems... I also hope, as a football fan, that the Commish takes this all into consideration when dealing with disciplinary action on him, which will inevitably come at some point...
if you attempt to kill yourself with a knife or gun and fail... you didn't mean to do it in the first place. But you are obviously sick.
I don't find that believable. She's obviously pissed off at him. He keeps saying that he may lose his wife because of all this, which means she's still pissed. If she was selflessly falling on the sword trying to protect him, why did she claim "self-defense"? That implies that he was abusing her, which would get him in tons of trouble both with the police and the NFL. I don't think it's as simple as her trying to protect him
Marshall is a nutjob. She was leaving him and he was cutting himself to keep her there. We should have never ever went anywhere near this guy. What a whacko.
On another tangent, what kind of trash talking crap is he gonna face going forward from this.... I hope he can keep his head in the game when the db's start yakking at him.
Can't imagine his peers being as classless as this. Talking trash on the field is one thing but attacking someone's mental illness is another.
I would hope not, but I still wonder what the heck Crowder said to Light that time when he got ejected...
Any way you look at this the situation is like a keg of dynamite so we all need to hope this doesnt blow up in our faces like the Ricky Williams retirement and the David boston injury did to us in 04 . if anything happens to Marshall the dolphins will be toast because none of the other wrs scare anyone or we would be hearing good things about the wrs which gives me the gut feeling that I cant shake but Damn it I sure hope Sparano and Ireland will go out get another vet wr if nothing but to add more depth at wr . this is jus a hunch so I am not saying this will happen it s just a big fear that isnt subsiding like my other fears did about the other players.
I have no doubt that at least one opponent will reference the BPD and his domestic issues while trash talking.
I think it's very classless for the south florida media and the members of this website to continue to speculate on what happened. The media either doesn't realize or doesn't care that they're ruining this guy's life. He's admitted he has a mental illness and anyone who isn't a mental health professional or a sufferer from the disease has no idea what he's going through. To continue to draw undue attention to this situation and make baseless accusations is the last thing someone in his mental state needs. I think that as fans of the team and as respectful human beings we should stop trying to figure out what happened and focus on the fact that he needs help and that he's getting it. We should be supportive, not negative and trying to stir up **** because someone thinks they know what happened. Flame away.
I cant help but wonder if he did try to kill himself and his wife lied to protect him, but that doesnt explain the bloody gun.
I'm positive but hell man after all this disclosed.... going into a football season. Marshall said all along she didn't stab him. Closet, Luggage, The bruise. She was bolting and BM had a melt down. Marshall was trying to keep her there. Desperation. Went to the gun after he stabbed himself.. Sad
Well we had heard before he fell on a vase/ashtray or something.... Police reports say white comforter in the entryway. Blood. Started in a closet. If we can go back he was wonderful coming to Miami. That is our #1.
That would make sense considering his Borderline Personality disorder. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the truth.
It looks to me that Marshall was harming himself to make her feel bad for abandoning him. Sad for sure, but not really earth shattering. Hopefully he gets the help he needs to overcome his demons, save his marriage and throw 1400 yds and 10 TDs on he board.
I am divorced from a BPD woman, and let me tell you, BM lives in an eternal hell. There is a very slim chance that he will ever recover, BPD exists to deny your reality to protect you from immeasurable pain.. In all likelyhood he was sexually abused as a kid and/or subject to mental/physical torture by his primary caregivers.. It is not uncommon for people with BPD to cut, so it is feasible that he is a cutter.. Sad situation to go through, but the true victim in this case is the wife, who has to deal with mood swings that can change from hour to hour.. Trust me, it is a living hell and the only solution is to run as fast as you can away from it as this disorder causes people to self destruct every chance they get.. I will say that he deserves a lot of credit for revealing this, but that may have happened during a time of relative peace in his brain - The very few that overcome this (more like cope) need to go through extensive weekly therapy for 5+ years.. It's built in to your wiring and disposition. Either way I wish him luck
Don't mean to burst your bubble, but black and white thinking similiar to how you have reacted is part of a BPD diagnosis Seriously, I'm not saying criminals or other people that act out in violence because of a mental disorder deserve a free pass, or that we should even associate with them, but you should have some level of empathy towards someone that didn't choose to live a life of hell. Some people simply can't escape their abusive childhood as their brain learned to cope in very unhealthy ways... Just as I didn't choose to have brown hair..
It's true I've been diagnose with Pissed off at Brandon Marshall Syndrome. As a fan it is not my job to show sympathy toward a guy with a mental illness that is getting paid $50 million dollars to play a game. My job is to root him on sure but also to display criticism when due. If he has such a deep mental problem he needs to move on and take care of instead of muddying up the team. Also it has never been proven there was abuse in his past. Sounds like an assumption unless you have proof otherwise.
it is not your "job". You CHOOSE to root for this team and criticize it. So therefore, no. You do not have any obligation whatsoever. BTW, if Stephen Ross asked you personally to NOT be a fan of the team, would you oblige?
