McNabb's rating, yards, avg, and td / int ratio are slightly above Henne's (in less games). Hasselbeck, including his two playoff games, did better than Henne. Either way, here's hoping Henne can out compete two over the hill quarterbacks to be the 23rd best QB.
well, we got plenty of bulletin board material this year, perfect for a team that lacks emotion when playing in their home stadium.
Jet fan here..and I'll admit Sanchez at 11 is a bit high right now....one thing thats good bout him however is seems to be hardest working guy on team and can lead. To me nothing better than when the Fins are good..best rivalry...better than NE....at least to me. Henne at 31 is too low as well...but from what I'm reading been tough offseason...I always thought he had all the tools...strong arm, etc....but...in the end he may be guy with million dollar arm and 10 cent head....am I wrong????
I'm going to give you a nod here, a Jets fan admitting your QB was overrated and ours was underrated. Henne's been a hot topic of discussion on these boards during the offseason with varying opinions. My opinion of Henne is the former offensive coordinator Dan Henning never set Henne up for success. Henning would call some of the most ridiculous games, putting the ball in the hands of essentially a first year quarterback calling pass plays after pass plays instead of using Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams to set Henne up for successful pass plays. This culminated when the Dolphins played the Browns (or Bengals I forget which), a team whose defense was rated 29th in the league against the rush and Henning called only 7 running plays all game versus 45 passing plays. Insanity!! I'm hopeful that Brian Daboll will be more balanced and provide more of a running game thus setting Henne up for success on passing plays. As for your boy Sanchez. What has made him successful thus far compared to Henne is your offeinsive coordinator has provided Sanchez with more of a balanced attack in play calling, something Henne didn't have and Sanchez has been set up for success. But even with that more balanced offensive attack, Sanchez still fails to deliver on when in Crunch time and become a bit Brett Farve-esque, tossing that interception at a crucial point in the game. I honetly believe that had Henne had what Sanchez had regarding play calling, the Dolphins would have been 11-5 last year and we'd be discussing whether or not Henne was rated to high and listening to the Jesters crying that Sanchez was rated too low
Anymore, USA Today is about on a par with The Bleacher Report, but 20 yrs ago, they actually had good sports info.
How the hell are rookies ahead of Henne? And what is the obsession with Kevin Kolb? What has he proven?
Not sure why most of us have Henne ranked higher than he should be. But you have to take off the blinders. The guy hasn't done much at all. Last night was a perfect example. I have no faith in the guy to be honest.
