ALright,. Got the #2 pick in 10-man league that gives fractional PPR. For the last 13 years, I've consistently made a bad choice with my #1 pick, and then done well with the rest of my draft, but it's hard to compensate, so I want to hear what you guys have to say. We have Foster, CJ, AP and maybe R Rice. - Foster was a beast last year, but will his hamstring slow him down? - CJ is holding out, although I read a rumor that TN is willing to make him the highest paid RB if he reports. I'm a little worried about CJ, he had a good, but not spectacular year, and I don't see an improvement with the even-worse QB situation TN now has. plus, how will the guy do after he gets paid? - Adrian P - I think Vikings have improved at QB, but how will their receivers do with McNabb? seems like the safest bet of these 4 - R Rice is rumored to be the goalline back now too for JAX, why I put him in with the other three.
I wouldn't outsmart myself and go with AP if he survives the #1 selection. If AP's gone, I'd rank them Johnson, Rice, Foster. Put Foster ahead if you want an upside gamble.
Is there one that you have a strong gut feeling for? You can make the case for and against any of them because all have question marks. Besides maybe AD. If you have a couple weeks before the draft then wait to get more information about Foster and CJ. For me, I go: 1. Peterson 2. CJ 3. Charles 4. Rice 5. Foster Also, don't rule out McCoy. Last year he was a PPR monster.
Well our slow live draft starts in 1 week, so not much time to see how preseason develops. I'm leaning towards AP if he's available. Charles is an interesting idea at your #3 slot too. If nothing else, that would really piss off my buddy who picks #4 and is a huge Chiefs fan. he's a gamble, but hard to ignore. I think right now I will only eliminate CJ, even though you both have him #2. His 2nd half numbers weren't that great: only 3 rushing TDs.
Keep in mind Foster is also losing his probowl lead blocker in Vontae Leach, who will now be opening holes for RR on Baltimore.
Foster is a monster ppl. If healthy he is a top 3 RB at worst. 1.AP 2. Foster 3. CJ 4. MJD 5. Turner 6. Rice 7. Mendenhall 8. McCoy 9. Mcfadden 10.Charles
