Deadwood had such a terrible third season that they ruined my avatar.

But ...yes...I do know everything. Especially in the NBA..where my success is documented.

Most likely we will be 7-9 or 8-8

Don't think I would change much after first pre-season game, but 9-7 instead of 10-6 seems like a solid choice. A lot would have to fall in place for something more than 9-7. Could be possible it does though.

Sigpic bets are better for forums, besides I don't think there will be any takers after seeing NE rolling in first preseason game.

    1. Patriots - Loss (0-1). As much as my heart tells me we're going to win a home opener on Monday Night, my head says we're going to get smoked by Brady
    2. Texans - Loss (0-2). We've yet to beat the Texans and everytime I see them on our scheduled, I cringe. The grovelings will begin after this game.
    3. @ Browns - Win (1-2). They were ranked 29th against the run last year and it's a game we should have won. We'll bounce back decisively after 2 losses.
    4. @ Chargers - Win (2-2). We've won 4 of the last 5 played in San Diego. Surprise victory for the Dolphins at Jack Murphy!
    5. @ Jets - Win (3-2). We go up to New York after the bye and kick the Jets butt. The offense, despite coming off of a loss in San Diego, starts bonding together.
    6. Broncos - Win (4-2). Orton is going to be running for his life. Mike Nolan returns to Denver and knowing their strength's/weaknesses, Miami's D is going to put it to Denver.
    7. @ Giants - Win (5-2). In the PoFo, someone said republicans have the ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory...so goes the same for the New York Giants
    8. @ Chiefs - Loss (5-3). One of the more difficult venues in the NFL to play and with 2nd year reunion with Crennell/Weiss, KC is going to be the sleeper in the AFC.
    9. Redskins - Win (6-3). Washington and Miami have been trading victories back and forth. Last meeting was in '07 when Washington won in OT. Look for Miami to avenge that loss
    10. Bills - Loss (6-4). Miami seems to play at Buffalo's level and seeing how Buffalo hasn't won in Miami in 2 years, they're due.
    11. @ Cowboys - Win (7-4). Miami is 7-5 all time against Dallas and 5-2 against Dallas in their home stadium.
    12. Raiders - Win (8-4). Al Davis has the uncanning ability to field a team of superstar nobodies. Miami's won 9 out the last 12 meetings.
    13. Eagles - Loss (8-5). Miami may be 7-5 all time against Philly, but the last win against them was Christmas Eve 1999. We're toast.
    14. @ Bills - Loss (8-6). We just don't do well going to Orchard Park in the winter, 10-5 at Buffalo playing past October. The Bills sweep us this year.
    15. @ Patriots - Loss (8-7). Again, going north during cold weather. Miami's last cold weather win in New England, New Year's Day 2006.
    16. Jets - Win (8-8). After a demoralizing loss in New England, Miami closes at home against the Jets and wins. The last time Miami lost 4 games in a row was the dreaded 1-15 season of '07.

As much as my HEART thinks we could have a better record this season, looking at the schedule as well as the history of Miami's record against some of these teams, I can't see it any better and 8-8.

I do have one thing to say though to my post.

I HOPE THE DOLPHIINS PROVE ME WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buffalo won in Miami last year, but other than that I found your post interesting. Definitely a rollercoaster ride to 8-8 you have there

You know you're right. The data I was looking at wasn't updated with last year's records. Damn, looking at so much data I needed some mental floss.

Hmmmm, that MIGHT change some of my predictions...but not by much I'm afraid.

Was going back and checking out this thread to see how some of our predictions panned out.

I snickered and shook my head at my predictions. The one game I said we'd lose is the only one we've won thus far.
