Black Swan. Seriously other than the hot lezbo scene it was a ripoff of Dead Ringers and Fight Club. But the hot lezbo scene made it worthwhile.

just watched the millenium trilogy this weekend

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

The Girl Who Played With Fire

The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest

Really good. Good mix of whodunnit, conspiracy, rape, murder, incest and a touch of lesbianism thrown in. All of the movies were Swedish, though I was able to watch the first and third in dubbed versions.

Ugh. Very interesting idea, great settings, good actors, ****ty storyline. There's a few MAJOR plot details that you'd think would take up 20 mins explaining, that wind up just randomly being thrown out there and accepted.

I expected a lot better writing from a Favreau movie. They really ****ed this one up.

I just watched the best movie of the summer: Rise of the Planet of the Apes. This one was so much better than any other movie to come out all year, it's not even a contest. It has restored my faith in movies and should be seen before any others IMO. The character development was brilliant, the action sequences were timely, and the CGI apes could easily give lessons to Hollywood actors on how to act. Really impressed me...

    Hangover 2 = awful

    Due Date = godawful

    Dinner for Schmucks = atrocious

Wise Guys = not too bad. "start the car"

The Untouchables = adequate. Corny, but adequate.

It was a great movie, and I really enjoyed it. I liked the direction they went with, and I think they could make it a successful franchise if they keep the same writing/directing team.

just saw The Abandoned. Wow what a creepy old time horror movie with a weird fatalistic Russian style. This isnt splatter gore but more retro in spirit in that it actually tries to scare you. Depressing, Morbid...just great

HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN. Fantastic, over the top, makes no sense, B movie splatter gore with one of the all time great actors in Rutger Hauer as the Hobo. Epic, simply epic

watched "enter the void" and "the way back". both good. enter the void is about a guy dying and going through a Book of the Dead type of journey. The Way Back is about a group of Russian prisoners who escape from a prison in Siberia and walk all the way to India. (lol, more interesting than i make it sound)

Kill the Irishman; based on a true story. Great job by the filmmakers. Highly recommended if you like gritty mob movies.

Vincent D'Onofrio is brilliant in the main supporting role, as he is in most everything.

Just saw Thor; loved it, although I went in not expecting much. The guy IS Thor, you totally buy him in the role. The supporting actors are brilliant, including Ray Stevenson, the lead in the last film I posted. ^^^

The only thing I didn't like was the revelation in the epilogue that Loki would be the villain in The Avengers. I find that lack of originality...disturbing.
