Livas and Misi being back is the big news to me and this is the second to last "open" to the public practice left.

And love that Koa is feeling the heat from JT, THAT is what I'm talking about

hey if any of you can make it to the next practice can you observe how well these players play.

I 'm curious about Clay, Bush, Thomas and Wallace and how are they doing . any notes would be apreciated.

Good news for Livas, Gates is not as natural as Livas fielding kicks and he would not be back there if they were happy with Bess's output.

Ain't looking good for Will Allen's comeback attempt sadly enough as he was a warrior for us in 2008.

Ike has sort of come into his own as a Sam, I had just about written him off after playing stiffly last yr, but this Camp he is doing things.

I seem to recall Ike being ahead of Misi on the depth chart last preseason, till the mystery illness. Ike looks like he is packing more muscle mass now than he was a year ago. I'd have no qualms if we had to start him across from Wake.

He looks leaner this yr, and more fluid, he is also gaining more penetration then he had last TC, could be he finally found his fit.

Anyone want to take odds on JT being the SOLB on MNF vs the Pats?

As I've followed lil Beast, his problem has always been consistency

MM having a good practice as well

Makes sense, Henne has missed time due to injuries, Moore needs 1st team reps.

So we don't wear him down too soon, maybe the prudent thing to do would be use JT like we used Trace in his last season in Miami. Never started a game and made the Pro Bowl being a nickel package DE.

Anyone think Ike has potential to start at the Sam and allow us to move Wake to the Will?

IMO, his problem is lack of reps. He just needs more experience catching passes and playing real football and the consistency will come.

I don't think JT's pride will allow him to do that Mr C, he may be the Starter for the first couple of series, but JT imo, does not see himself as anything but a Starter.

Love good Dline play, love it, so rare to see today, and Merling is the Vet I'm watching.

Wake seems to be more comfortable and natural rushing from the left side. IMO, that is why the use him there so much. Whomever plays across from Wake will be mostly on the right side, which is Will vs a right handed traditional pro set. Misi and Ike both played the right side for the most part the other night. After Wake left, Trusnik came in to play in his spot.

When he signed with the Jets, I recall that being the role Rex said he wanted to use him in, and JT was cool with that. Due to injuries they were forced to use him much more than originally planned in the base defense.

Told O early this morning that Livas will be his 1 Training Camp miss, he has one every yr, he feels Livas is not a good enough Wr, I pointed out that the last 2 yrs Sparano has done all he could to have a Returner type, go SNL..go baby!

Which is how it works with JT, now Koa is knicked, and JT is playing like a mad man for a reason Mr C.

    Some guys are just Closers.

Whenever it gets mentioned we trade one of our DL, seems like Merling gets most of the action, followed by Starks, for some reason. But, my guess right now would be Odrick and Merling as the primary DTs in our nickel package 4 man line, with Wake and JT at the ends. That line could potentially wreak havoc like the Giants do with their nickel rush line.

I agree that JT should be used in a Trace Armstrong manner. I also think that he expects to be used in that way and would prefer it over being a starter.

That is just the way he always has played, no matter his role or position. You think JT would demand he be the starter at one OLB even if the coaches decide to start Misi there?

Exactly my feelings. I don't know what Padre means by JT's pride won't let him do that? Heck, he agreed to that kind of role with Rex and the Jets when they signed him last year. Then injuries forced them to use JT much more than first planned.

I don't Rafi and Mr C as well, JT was on Joe Rose's show right after he signed and he used a baseball analogy:

"I can still go 6 innings, but not the whole game"

Instead of the other way around "I can still come in and close out games"

It is clear as day, JT is a better player in the 4th qtr and it will be interesting to see how Sparano and Nolan manage the situation.

That sounds like a man who has accepted and is comfortable with a reduced role. IMO you're taking the analogy too literally. I think he just meant reduced role not a reduced role as long as its only the first 2/3 of the game.

What is that #3 or #4 "sack" for JT so far?

You've been suggesting Moore to start over Henne since Friday, yes. And I think that's jumping the gun at the moment. I want to see Henne play this Friday before even considering the possibility of a quarterback controversy.

If Henne plays poorly and Moore plays well this Friday, then maybe it's time to think about giving Moore first team reps. And until that point, it's a non-issue to me. A quarterback controversy has the potential to split the locker room, not something I want to see.

However Nolan decides is best to use him, I'm sure JT will give his best. No worries about hurt feelings or hurt pride if he is only a nickel package pass rusher.

Every day there seems to be a bad Pouncey shotgun snap. Maybe I'm paying extra attention to it due to the focus it got during the draft, but I don't remember that many bad snaps in previous years. Am I wrong?

JT is working hard to try and have a big final (assumed) season. Good luck to him, we need all the domination on defense we can get! I'm looking for a forced fumble sack on Brady for old times sake week 1.

Reggie Bush the last guy on the field, first guy on the field as well, just either working the blocking sled or the JUGS machine.

    Have to love that effort.

reborn on natural grass..dedication and focus to bring all the abilities that the body has to give...when you have the foundation and skillset of that degree to start with, at 26 years old, you might have a potential star on your hands...So glad we took the gamble on him over sproles..

I suspect the effort was always there Deej, and from what I understand Bush's injuries were not from hits, they were from trying to recover other players's fumbles.

Since he has been in Miami, have no idea about NOLA, he has been beating DBess out to be the first guy onto the field for practices.
