Not sure...serious? Griese was good on college games, but woefully unprepared, as per usual, on the preseason stuff. Makes sense in that he can, hopefully, offer good analysis of Mr Henne's play...and bring the Bourbon.
I like bourbon ... I will need it to listen to Griese though , he was pretty decent many years ago on college games , as you mentioned however the last few years it seems he strolled in from the tiki lounge after double digit double drinks ... There has to be better analysts that have or even not have Miami ties ...
Have we cooked up a robo-QB using genetic materials from Dan Marino and Bob Griese? Because if we have, we should sign that guy to the team instead of having him on the radio.
Actually, never liked bourbon very much, as for Matt Griese, he makes sense if you look at if from a "explaining Qb play" pov.
Not sure who Dan Griese is but it sucks to hear that Pat Griese is gonna be in booth.. he's not very good

Boiler up! IT is whiskey and beer btw. I love ole Brad Griese, the last time i saw him was an alumni function for Purdue about 5 years ago the dude was tanked before it even started, by the time his speech rolled around it was one of the greatest speeches I have ever heard. evar!

Wow, we're going to have an awful radio broadcast. I don't listen to the radio broadcast of the games anymore, but I'm going to miss Mandich. On the bright side, it'll be harder for Cefalo and Rose to step all over Mandich now that they've got to drive to the cemetery to do it.
Last week I listend to the radio broadcast because the TV crew was so bad ... and that was with Bob Benjamin ...now what to do?
I doubt anyone here could do a better job announcing games while being 3 sheets to the wind. Sounds like a lot of envy going on here to me. Not saying you d22, just a general observation.

He may not be the smoothest radio announcer but he was the QB the last time the Dolphins won the SB .And he will have a unique perspective the other announcers dont have .He understands the game from a QB perspective . And I dont know what all the fuss is about .The title reads OK to me.
Griese does make some sense as the Mad Dog replacement, especially when, imo, Rose/Cefalo/Mandich were all long on rowdy but did not really provide much insight. On game days I typically have the game on mute and listen to the radio call of the game as they do not have to be as balanced as the national announcing crew does, and they find out about injuries a bit quicker then the national guys do as well.
