They make a good point about Reggie Bush no longer being needed in New Orelans' high powered offense, once Brees really established himself as an elite Qb, Bush's role diminished./

heck yes. If there's going to be a surprise 12-4 team this year, I don't see another team more capable. People talk about Detroit being that team. Uh ah, it's Miami.

All I've heard is Phins bashing for a month. Frankly I hope it continues and these guys make them all swallow a spoonful of ****.

Interesting that PFF really liked Burnett, and the Olines' play last evening which runs counter to what some other folks opinions.

My one concern is power running teams, Burnett is a Bart Scott type of ILB, great range, but not sure if he and Dansby can whip fullbacks in the hole and make the tackle.

If they have issues with the run, they can protect the LBs up with the front, like NE is doing.

I think that is what they have in mind with the Burnett for Crowder trade out, our Front should be able to protect Dansby and Burnett well enough to allow them to roam sideline to sideline.

Not a huge fan of that idea as Soliai is up and coming, but that really does put the onus of stopping the run more or less on him.

Unless everyone is comfortable with Ron Fields at NT if Paulie goes down?

hey guys how did Lousalka Polite look last night ? are still going to keep him? I am disapointed to hear Fasano is not playing well. i hope that the front office is looking for another tight end.

Well, I like Walterfootball's Draft stuff, but the analysis...not so much.

In some small way, "winning' the Suck for Luck contest is not the worst thing that could happen, however we are not going to go 2-14, the Panthers went 2-14 and they were horrible and you could see it coming as soon as Peppers signed in Chicago, we have not lost anyone and added better players to an already solid core.

I agree 100%. I really do. If Henne can just be AVERAGE at completing the deep balls we'll be a very good team. The offense is a better run offense, IMO, than Henning's. It plays to his strengths better. We've seen the YAC already. Obviously, guys like Bush, Hartline, Marshall, and Fasano have to make plays, but Henne can moderately improve this year while the Dolphins win the division. I really believe that.

Our WR corp, one of the best in the league. Our DL one of the best in the league. Our LB, one of the best in the league. Hell our defense one of the best in the league. I really think our offense with Reggie, Thomas, & Gates added can be dynamic with Marshall, Bess, Hartline & Fasano already there.

I'll say this. I worry about the goaline carries. Say what you want about Ronnie Brown, but he had a knack for getting in the end zone.

That sounds about right to me. I wrote in another thread about Colombo, and that I saw only one negative play by him, the one that resulted in the incomplete pass to Hilliard. That description he gives, sounds like that play.
I've seen several posts really running him down, and honestly they sound to me like complete nonsense. Such things as him being the worst starting lineman over the last 4 years, or that his play is really really bad. IMO, that is ridiculous.

We aren't going 2-14. We're better than that. Much better. Henne is inconsistent, he's not terrible.

The thing is, 8-8, 7-9 and it'll be a huge disappointment. 9-7 and miss the playoffs will be bad. We need to go 10-6. If we go 10-6 and miss the playoffs, eh it'll suck but hey it's something to build on.

He had a wonderful "seal" block that sprang a nice run.

He is an experienced NT in this league, been a starter before, and IMO solid depth behind Paul. He has looked fine to me in both games so far. He isn't much of a pass rusher, but he sure can clog up the middle.

There was one play where the announcers were praising Polite for a seal block, but when they showed the replay, it was #31 not #36 making the block. Could have been a different play though.

Walter is pretty much a moron. He blew his load on some whacked out Jimmy Claussen analysis, screaming up and down that he should have been the #1 overall pick. 'Nuff said.

the 'suck for luck' banter is humorous ... although there were more than a few on this site stating the same both prior to and post draft ...

IF we get decent OL play .... we can win 10+ games - regardless of opponent ....

Good grief. Who can't block a seal? Those stupid things are pretty slow.

Agree 100%. Arrogant know it alls who predict doom and gloom for the team can be highly annoying, but at least he's not a Fins fan. Besides, we have a few arrogant naysayers who need to have their asses shut up right here at home.
