Glad to see the light go on in Coach S head...

    Coach S. says:

“I spent a lot of time looking at myself in the mirror, knowing that I need to make the change. Obviously, three-quarters of my staff on offense is new. That’s something that I felt we had to do. I feel like Brian’s style is more aggressive … [But] it started with me with big plays and how hard we had to work to advance the ball down field in the past. That’s where I had to look at myself and say, ‘I’m the CEO of the football part of it. If I see it broke, I have to fix it and it has to start with me.’
“We couldn’t crawl down the field anymore.”

Seems to take him a little longer to recognize things like this and player evaluations but hopefully now it's recognized we will see just what Kind of coach he is.

Be nice if Ireland gets on the same page and after not taking enough advantage of an ideal FA opportunity (IMO) lucks out and is able to take advantage of maybe some quality players being released before the season starts.... to help out the offensive side the way he did the defensive side...

Refreshing to see that some of the FO is willing to accept responsibility for mistakes and hopefully learn from them.....

    encouraging sign............

I love coach Sparano. Regardless of what happens on the field, I think he's a stand up guy. He's given everything he has to this team and realizes that this is his last chance...he's putting all the chips on the table.

I may not always agree with his decisions (mis-use of Ginn IMO, too much wildcat, not running Ronnie more, benching Sean Smith) but I will say this....I respect the man, and hope he is successful as he endeavors to right this ship. It takes a big man to admit that the philosophy upon which he's built a career wasn't working and make a change.

This guy surprises me more and more. I haven't lost hope for either him or Henne. Hoping they both turn the corner this year....
