But he has picked against them. I agree with Marino, I think Henne can be a very good QB in this league.
Seriously.....I love Dan Marino. Not because of his support of Henne. But his never-ending bias for the Miami Dolphins. Dude should have a ****ing Dolphin logo on his tombstone........That.....and.....a ace ventura dvd
I watched it YESTERDAY. So many one-liners I never got when I was younger like.... 'your gun is jabbing into my hip'
One of my favorite scenes: Love the face plant on the bench!
Wait..... Tony, you're telling me Henne wasn't the reason for the conservative game plan and play calling? Are you saying that Parcells & his good buddy, Henning (whom wasn't your first choice), were the ones responsible for an offense so boring that fans used it instead as a bathroom break to prevent missing any commercials? lol. So a young, semi-gunslinging Henne didn't look great in an offense built around a conservative, make no mistake philosophy?
Aguado - Homicide, Ventura. Now how ya gonna solve that one? Ventura - Good question, Aguado. First, I'd establish a motive. In this case the killer saw the size of the bug's DICK, and became insanely jealous.
If Henne's good enough for the Greatest QB in the history of football, then Henne's good enough for me.
I don't think anyone denies Henne's actual talent. He has good size, good mechanics and great arm strength. Problem is up stairs...
After 3 years in the league I wish "can be" was being replaced by "is" in his comments. Potential can only get someone so far, they have to show it, and Henne needs to do that this year or its over for him in a Dolphins uniform.
he said good, not very good however Marino knows QB's and the game like few others his words are encouraging if Henne is "good" in 2011, we make the play-offs all we need is good, not very good, excellent or elite just good & we will do just fine Good luck Chad Henne, as you go so goes the Team!
Thats what I was going to say. And, last year on WFAN- Marino was being interviewed and he stated that he doesnt think Henne is the answer as our QB. He wasnt impressed with him. Now,Marino has every right to change his mind but it definitely wasnt love at first sight.
While I agree that Henne has the talent to be a good QB, Marino is one of the poorest QB analysts I've ever seen. His QB analysis usually amounts to, "that can the guy throw".
Is that the tranny version of Courtney Cox? You go, Greyson!! Tranny porn is just like middle school masturbation. Half the country watches it, but no one wants to admit it. wait..... that didn't sound right.
LOL @ people trying to justify keeping Henne because Marino said he might be good one day. Henne will get another chance to either impress or disappoint us all again. He is very fortunate he fell into9 the situtation that he did in Miamiu because frankly most staffs would not of stuck with him this long.
Henne has already shown his potential. That's why some people believe in him. What he hasn't done is been in a QB friendly system with more appropriate personnel to better develop & showcase his potential rather than simply flash it here and there. People want consistency from him. Well, it helps to be in an offense that's conducive toward consistency, an offense that keeps the same philosophy throughout the year rather than changing it on a weekly basis.
LOL at people trying to justify ditching Henne who have never played a down in their life. People have been justifying (with credible arguments) why Henne deserved another shot long before Marino made this statement. All Marino's statement does is lend more credence to our beliefs. Are you saying that you know for a fact most staffs would not have stuck with him? ..... or are you speaking from opinion?
I just re-read the entire thread and can't find a single statement where anybody is "trying to justify keeping Henne because Marino said he might be good one day".
OH I'm sorry I missunderstood I did not realize this thread was started because the OP and those who support his oppinion are in favor of replacing Henne. My bad
Near as I can tell it was started to report a statement by Marino. I have no idea what the OP's opinion on Henne was or is. He made no statement at all.
I hope your not direcdting your comment at me. I never gave my opinion one way or the other about Henne's ability I was only saying that its silly to endorse Henne based on Marino having said a few kind words about the kid. And yes it is my opinion that most coaching staffs would of moved on from Henne being their starter at this point. I think Sporano is taking a huge risk sticking with him as our starter. If Henne flops again this year you might as well prepare for a long unpleasent season as a miami fan.
You can follow your own advice & mindset, and I'll follow mine. Just because a person lives in a hurricane area it doesn't mean they need their shudders up year round. I'm certainly not sacrificing my enjoyment of football and enthusiasm for this year's team b/c I "should be sitting with my arms crossed waiting for something disappointing to happen" that may never be. Guess what?----- I reckon Green Bay & New England should also prepare for a long unpleasant season b/c Brady & Rodgers could suffer a season ending injury at any moment.
