    I blame Henne. :shifty:

For being the only one worthy of recognition.

Wait I forgot Fields. He is gonna be the teams MVP.

We haven't had a punter like Fields since Roby. Fields is no Roby, but he is darn close.

true. main thing that concerns me is the oline. how long will it take them to gel and how good will they be when they finally do gel?

i think the refs were winded after that performance. probably why the flags got less and less as the 4th qtr arrived. probably too tired to throw them anymore

No doubt about that. I have the same concerns there.

I am just glad to see Henne handling it well. He really has become a different player in this new offense. Don't get me wrong... I did see the one VERY bad decision he made... Thankfully he had enough on the ball that the defender couldn't grab it, but he should have either not thrown it or audibled to another play... if that was an option. Getting rid of the ball and not taking the sacks would have been nice as well, but I am not going to knock him on that this time.

This is two games in a row where he has hit receivers in stride. The screen to Bush could have used some touch, but Bush knows damn well he should have caught that ball, regardless.

Edit: The only thing I would have liked to have seen on that screen to bush was Henne getting in his face (ala Marino) but after seeing Bush beat himself up, I not sure even Marino would have chewed his *** out... Never mind, he sure as hell would have.

    Chad Henne has something to say: 10/13 175 1 0 = QBR of 144

Since only a few of us here speak Chad Henne's language, I'll interpret.

He said: **** you...how's that for a "REAL" quarterback?

Now...our O-Line better shape up...they look like ****. The O-Line is the only unit I am worried about right now.

Marshall's fumble is excusable because he's trying to get YAC and he rarely fumbles.

I loved...repeat...LOVED... the fire of Bush and JT tonight.

If the O-Line can produce, this team will do pretty well this season.

No kidding, I guess this game was their off-season conditioning program. I would be surprised if they all didn't suffer some sort of shoulder injury.

Exactly what help do you see that can be added to the right side to help out this putrid line? Jake Long is the only quality offensive lineman on this team. The rest of the linemen are average to below average NFL offensive linemen. Carey should have been cut, instead of the the Dolphins cutting his salary and moving him to right guard. Colombo was not a very good player for the Cowboys in recent years and that is why he was cut. I have stated several times that I felt Pouncey was overrated and was only drafted as high as he was because of the play of his brother last season. Incognito has been on a number of teams in the NFL because he just isn't that good.

The Dolphins have spent millions of dollars and several high draft picks over the last four years to upgrade the offensive line. The offensive line guru, Sparano has done a terrible job coaching up these players to become an average offense line, much less a dominant offensive line. The offensive line doesn't appear to be any better now than it was last season. I don't know if it is the coaching or the players themselves, but the fact is that this offensive line stinks. I blame Ireland and Sparano because it it their job to bring in the players to upgrade the line and they don't appear to have done their job at all.

As much as it pains me, I am starting to agree with the bolded. It's a damn shame too. The man had so much damn potential.

"Had so much damn potential"? For a while he was arguably the best RT in the NFL.

As strange as it is to say, the problem with the right side of the OL is that Ireland cheaped out. Yes, the team cheaped out on an offensive line decision. Marshal Yanda was there for the taking in free agency, and can play both RG and RT at a Pro Bowl level. We instead decided to slash Carey's contract and void the remaining years, and then sign Marc Columbo at a bargain basement price. Meanwhile, our right guard of the future John Jerry is likely going to be cut (IMO), and while we don't know the exact length of Colombo's contract, I doubt it's for more than one or two years. Suddenly the right side of the OL has completely vanished… in cost-cutting moves.

It's like Jeff Ireland overreacted to criticism of the way this regime has handled the OL, and wound up making even bigger mistakes in the process.

So, you think that Carey's poor performance comes from Columbo and his pay reduction? I am just curious. What did you see out there?

EDIT: You're right, my statement of "potential" was incorrect. I just thought that he would have dominated on the inside.

Why? Because of one mediocre game after two good ones? That seems like an overreaction to me and backup QB is far down our list of main concerns.

I agree. As a backup I haven't seen anything that concerns me out of Moore anymore so than any back up. I think he is a step up from Thigpen(you can't count Pennington honestly with hindsight being 20/20) for sure, at least for this offense.

Just some thoughts... As bad as the Oline looked tonight. I am not near as concerned with it (seeing the way Henne handled himself) as I am with the miscues on defense in zone coverages... That unit is our strength and it got exposed big time at times. Smith evacuating the middle of the field early, etc. I am not going to make excuses for the Oline, they should be better than what we saw tonight, no doubt.

I believe the difference between Miami finishing 8-8 or making the playoffs will be winning or losing the turnover battle.

    2008...11-5...+17 turnover
    2009-2010...14-16...-20 turnover

That Miami won 14 of 30 games the previous two years being -20 in turnovers is truly remarkable. Shows just how good this team can be.

Was a great play by the Buc DB for getting up and staying with the play after getting beat for the reception. But Marshall has to own it.

Bell has to take the ball....D struggles to get TO's
I was watching the preseason game in a small screen of course. That was in his hands. Not hard to see.

No point for Bush to go toward the opposite SL tonight.

  31. Ozzy

No kidding! He fumbled the ball because of the way he held it. He's not known for putting the ball on the turf.

Last year all we herd from you was he cant score and his YAC sucked. His YAC has been freaking outstanding this preseason, and he scored on a long TD tonight that also had a ton of YAC, a badax stiff arm and you say he was part of the bad? No wait, you listed him as the only thing bad.

Totally showing us that no matter what Marshall does this year, you will reach for straws to find something bad...

Not about me Oz or a spin. Marshall knew he had a big play. He got stripped from behind. All I said is he knew it. He can't do that.

When any good Qb is having a good game and he throws a pick we look at it like its not good that it happened but we wont go listing him as the bad of the game unless that pick directly costs the game.

What Marshall did happens now and then, and with the way he and Henne have been clicking, I'm not worried about it one bit.

No way Marshall goes on the bad list tonight! He was one of the bright spots and especially with it being preseason.
