that is good to know. I have been looking for additional info as it is something I am considering doing. Thanks.
Someone on Sony's Playstation Blog contacted Direct TV directly (imagine that!) and received that response.
Perhaps, since they said the ps3 would act like an extra receiver. However last year I'm pretty sure you could only use one To-Go platform at a time.
I feel bad for people who payed 300 $ for this ****ty service. I had tge game working for 5 min now i can't get any games to work. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
I'm trying to just watch it in HD using the DTV receiver and mine keeps locking up. Brand new H25 receiver too. They better be thankful Miami isn't playing right now or I'd really be pissed.
Same here. I want to cancel because this is BS. Rather watch it at the bar across the street. They got this week and next week to get it right, since ill be at the game.
I'm trying to watch on my laptop and can't even get the directv site to load. Something's definitely wrong. I never had a problem last year with it. Edit: now it loaded, but no matter what game I pick, there's no video or audio.
From their twitter feed. They had to disable all the interactive features for the stream to work on normal receivers, that's why mine started working.
Sounds to me like DirecTV underestimated the demand for this service. I had been scared to purchase it because I couldn't pay the entire 340 at once ... nice to read that there are monthly payments. Still, from the problems you all are having I guess it's a good thing I went ahead and avoided it ... quite a snafu to launch a new service and then have it not work correctly.
Well after watching a full game, the Quality is really good when it is working. I hope they work out the kinks for next week. I am not as mad because I did not miss the dolphin game but still if i paid more then 50$ for this id be fuming.
http://us.playstation.com/support/answer/index.htm?a_id=2510 Looks like they are giving a credit for this week if you signed up for the PS3 service. Not sure if it will be applied toward future payments of the Sunday ticket, or something else. This is the only info I could find.
Not nearly the same quality. Once it was working correctly for me, I could totally see the value. The only thing I was missing was the Game Mix, and I don't know if that's available on PS3 anyway.
FWIW Sunday Ticket online has had issues the first few weeks for the past couple of years. Usually gets straightened out by week 4 though.
They would probably have four times the subscribers if they charged half that price. This a potential goldmine, heck, this might be the things that persuades people to get a PS3 rather than XBox. Horribly mismanaged.
MLB.tv made me trade in my 360 for a PS3. Haven't looked back since. Worth every penny for the PS3 and MLB.tv
I got my credit today. they give you $24.99 to your PSN wallet, so they made good on their promise fairly quickly.
So, I logged in today and and it wanted me to repurchase the Sunday ticket at full price. I called Sony and they said it is a known issue, just fyi for those who might run into the same issue.
