I recently responded to a post on craigslist for a Honda Accord, which the person posted up at $2,900 (sounds too good to be true but I can suspend my skepticism). You can read for yourself the replies from this person. It smells shady. Need a second opinion though. Never provided enough information.
Oh hell yeah, it reeks of scam. The biggest flag is how he keeps pushing how he is a noble soldier when you haven't even pried once what his story is, you know more about "him" than what is normal. Hell, you know half his life story.
Smells like a scam, but I wonder if you can get the Ebay info directly first rather than providing him info and having him send you something allegedly from Ebay.
Restricted to base? Natl Guard? Not likely, I vote scam. I spent two tour in the army and still work for them two decades later, and I can count the times anyone I know being restricted to base on one hand, the exceptions being when they were locked up due to misbehaving. Steer clear of the one. Never heard of DAS either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Soon as I read 'shipping', I knew it was a scam. If it ain't local -- much less super, super cheap -- it's a scam. Craigslist even says you should avoid anything that isn't local. EDIT: here's your proof: https://www.scambook.com/search?search=ethan+talson.
Usually if anyone is on base and emails they have a pettyofficer.army.mil type email address. Its a scam, I say send him all your money.
As a scam veteran, the number $2,900 is suspicious. It is clearly below what the car is worth so why not ask for $3000? Sounds stupid but it's a common scam technique. Numbers come into play when presenting a scam. Also in the pictures he sent, it clearly is not on a base nor is it near a garage and the license plate is blurred out. For what reason?
Nevada Army National Guard. Due to military security reasons I'm restricted from leaving the unit's facility under any purpose and have strictly limited phone access. He's a scamming liar and should be hunted down and shot. POS....

Just like I thought.....You should send him all your bank account information and social security number Sincerly, Ethan Talson
http://www.dasautoshippers.com/ I got restricted to the base, it happens, right before you deploy...they dont want GI's getting wasted and never coming back, or coming back late etc... but yeah this is a scam
I thought you were restricted to base for bringing the goat with a victoria's secret bra on into the BOQ? And Lmeister, pass on that one Bro, reeks of a scam, I'd be almost willing to bet they phished Talson's name off of facebook or something but even still, no thanks to that one.
Yeah..like 72 hours before not weeks and they don't restrict your phone calls but give you full internet access. lol
We weren't restricted at all when I deployed. Maybe it's different for National Guard. We were told when to report the next morning and that was it.
You should tell him that you are very interested, and actually can pay $3,500 to a "noble soldier" like him, especially since you are about to come into some money due to the recent passing of a relative. Unfortunately, you need an upfront sum of $346.11 to pay the lawyer so you can receive the inheritance money to buy the car. Scam the scammer!
The scam isnt over money, he just wants to collect your phone # so what ever you do, do not give him your #.......oh.....ahhhh....nevermind. good luck with that.
lmeister3, so you are interested in buying a car eh? Unfortunately I live far away from you so I'd have to ship you the car, I'll pay the shipping. Do you like Ferraris? It's a slight upgrade from a Honda, but I'll sell it to you for $9,999.99. Please see below picture and let me know if you're interested. you can then email me at imnotnigerian@ui.edu.ng
That is a scam email address. There are no petty officers in the army. Sick is a scammer. Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk
