Again, I don't like the idea, but it really is getting blown out of proportion.

/I would boo if I was at the game

I still don't care.Sorry if I offend anyone and it's not that I have anything against the Canes but I didn't attend either school so it does not offend me.Hurricane fans should be I can understand, shareing the same field as the Phins.Mabey it's time the U get's their own digs.

Your not offending anyone.. its your opinion. My whole thing is were bascially celebrating a player from the opposing team. They know Tebow carries a massive fan base and are using it to there advantage. So my main issue is with celebrating anything thats Tebow the Denver Bronco more then Tebow the Ex Gator.

I voted no this is also the Canes stadium. If the Gators need to be honored somewhere and I don't have a problem if they are, why aren't they doing it at the Jags stadium? That's Gator central and there anyway and would be more appropriate. If the team wins people will come out of the woodwork to see them, wht's so hard to understand about that.

I'm so sick of this. Buy tickets and boo if you want. Go there and chant Orton's name while you're at it.

A blurb about this mess also showed up in my local paper in Rochester NY its a national story people like integrity over money! I dont care about the Canes or the Gators Im a Cuse fan. What I dont like is that we could see booing and boycotts in our own stadium. Dumb idea all around. There are alot of more important things in life to worry about i know but it's just bad business imo.

Seriously there are 1000's of other things that could attract a few fans why this one? Why celebrate a 2 yr anniv. who does that.

Edit2 lol: IMO Mike Dee is alittle out of touch with the market down south. This type of thing would have flown when he was in Boston but its different in florida.

I'll state what I said in another thread.

    Personally I don't care.
However, for the marketing dept. of the Dolphins to not realize that this would piss off a good size portion of their fan base was flat out ignorant.
You have to know your clientele. This reaction from and division of the Phins own fan base was obvious and inevitable. Time for a new marketing dept. head.

This. Seriously. I'm 100% sure the Lions (I use them as an example because Detroit is a few minutes away from me, and I go there from time to time to catch NFL games) had hosted a former MSU team at halftime at one of their games. There's more Michigan than MSU fans in detroit I can almost guarantee you that. Hell, there's more Michigan fans than MSU fans anywhere period. Nobody cared though. Nobody boycotted a game. Nobody cried and whined like little girls about it. It's just really not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things.

maybe if the CANES were good enough to win something, they could be celebrated instead. or maybe to balance, they do a 10th anniversary for the CANES some other week.

do people even watch the halftime festivities? I only would if its something I care about... since this is not, if i was at the game, id go refill my beer and get a hot dog...

the uproar over this is ridiculous... get over it, i want that stadium packed, i dont care if the team has to offer free lap dances at half time, i'll give the OK to anything that'll sell more tickets... as a NYer and a Dolphins fan, i fly down for at least 1 game a year, and would love to be close enough to go, hate seeing half empty stadium, or a stadium full of out of town fans... so i vote for whatever the team has to do to pack out the stadium im for it...

most of the south floridian dolphin fans who dont like it are part of the problem by not going to enough games that the team has to do **** like this...

I am very happy to see my favorite collegiate team being celebrated by my favorite NFL team. Its sad to see so many ppl have a problem with this, But ppl always will complain about something.

Sad that the Hurricanes turned the dolphins down when the dolphins asked to celebrate there title 10 yrs ago

If that's the case, then the Canes fans should be upset with their own school, shut up, and stop whining (no offense meant there, targeting the wider swath of fans, no one particular here)
