Top 3 reasons this thread won't die: Sparano actually posts on the site under multi user ID's and is playing both sides of the fence in this thread while laughing at us all. Like hamsters Dolphin fans take a sick joy in eating their own. Whatever horse anyone rode in onto this thread has been unmercifuly been beat to death.
Sorry my bad....... Hey I'm of the opinion that yes they did a very good job building the Defense and went into this year with the understanding of building a solid offense and in my judgment considering the outstanding Free agents that were available picking up let me see who did we pick up outside of a good part time scat back Bush........to help a QB who most feel needs as much help as possible.......IMO it's another massive blown opportunity......... did we get solid OL help....TE help ligit RB incase Thomas doesn't meet full expectations......... hey just the way I see it..blow opportunities like the Wannstedt, Satin, Cam days....Though this group did build a nice Defense... wish they'd wake up and do the same for the offense before the d gets elderly ....thats all.......
But you said you've been "listening to this stuff" for 10 years; however, Sparano is only in his 4th season here...... so, regardless of how I feel about Tony, he hasn't been feeding you the same stuff for 10 years.
Who was the Bucs coach then? Morris or Gruden? If it was Morris, then it is even more funny. I love Pam, she is a real hottie IMO.
I guess my imagination gets in the way sometimes.. Honestly Nob, I have no idea what that rule is and what it really means, can't quite conceptualize what the rule is asking for...If a member is posting a post, thats coming from a human being, Just like if you were sittin in my living room, I'am gonna talk to you and tell you my opinion, and you with me, and sometimes it might get personal in a respectful way, and communicated it in a respectful tone. I imagine you being some kind of teacher, professor dude..lol Did you know Mr. Clean lives in the jungle of Thailand and eats raw meat and fish that he kills with his hands, and goes to seedy stripper bars to get laid.. lol
Seems kind of that way to me too. And as you say, that's the way it should be. Lot's of things that get called a tos violation and a personal attck does not seem that way to me.
I do not agree with the need for this kind of response to DJ at all. The way I see it, if Abbi, in this case, is offended by DJ's post and thinks it violates the precious TOS, then she can report the post and let the mods handle it. That's all.
Well Miss Abi ''Road''..seeing that you really want to now, I will tell you.. Don't wanna sound redundant to the board, but I had my list of weaknesses and conclusions going into the offseason.. 1}Go with Henne, I saw enough talent and bad variables surrounding him to conclude that his talent deserved better variables around him..Wanted Kaepernik in the draft. Ingram/Pouncey.. 2} Completely renovate the running back position..From top to Cobbs.. 3} Replace Crowder.. 4} Need Pass rusher.. 5} Interior lineman.. 6} Punt returner.. 7} defensive special teams..Sign really good players for this. 8} Speed receiver.. I believe we have addressed those weaknesses as well as could be expected, in one unusual offseason..Irish knew the weaknesses, its time to see if he chose the right skillsets to upgrade those positions, I believe most will relative to last year..Bush..Henne..Pouncey...Burnett..Will Allen..Livas..Daboll..Odrick, better athletes on special teams, I like the players to upgrade their respected roles. Understand that 3 late round and free agent picks might make this team this year..Wilson..Livas..Spears..On top of Pouncey, Thomas, Gates and Clay making the team, add Odick and Edds ,add some nice vets that look like their not finished in JT, Will Allen, and Burnett.. Most of all I like the balls to stick with the QB, he deserved another year... I like the progression of the team, before the 4th year has taken place, all because of how they lost football games last year, and how they targeted weaknesses.
Funny We see similar areas of need from your list outside of adding a TE. I guess the difference is I think that we should have added a few proven vets to the OL, RB and possibly WR while we had a great opportunity with an exceptional FA. It's putting a lot more pressure on Henne (who you seem to like) to have to go into the season with the major upgrades being rookies......... And very disappointed with the Veteran OL additions.........thats the best we could do?
This has potential. "DJ's Mental Images of Other Members." For the record Asgard is very hour this time of year.
DJ just because players make the squad the 1st year doesn't give you any indication how good the players actually are. A better barometer is after the 3rd year, and then go back and see how many players have been retained on the team. 1st year draft picks, for a number of reasons will be retained, even if they have not shown that they can play right away. You have to see if they can develop, and that takes 2-3 years in many cases. Shawn Murphy & Pat White made their squads their 1st year too, but they never developed and were gone by the end of their 2nd years. So lets say Thomas makes the squad this year, and so far Thomas hasn't shown he is a world beater it means basically nothing other than they don't want to admit they made a draft mistake yet and feel they need to give them time to develop.
Right: DJ, I disagree with you, and these are my reasons why... Wrong: DJ, I disagree with you because your reasons are born of some personal defect in you or flaw in your judgment...
LOL..Personal defects''...ahhh man you make me laugh, if I played by your rules I never would of gotten to know you..Thats the thing about this site, I think its beyond football... and you had something to do with that Desperado. I personally cannot take someones analysis serious when they can't differentiate while they project the teams future..Doesn't mean I don't respect Miss Abbi..
Great answer, We are all human we look for acceptance do we need it no, but it makes life better. We look for praise do we need it no. but it gives are life meaning. We look for admiration do we need it no, but lets us know are work is appreciated. (you get the point). Motivation is a great thing. It pushes us to step outside the box and try something new. To go past our limits. People need to realize that there a many paths in life these things mentioned above help us decide our path. Life is not just ourselves, we have to interact and except society. Thats why America is so great we cherish are freedom and all the responsibilty and opportunity that comes with it. If your not driven to succeed in life you will surely fail.
This...this was our kiss of death. "Win the crowd"? He was quoting some really, rather irrelevant bull**** in this speech. He just sucks at this stuff, with his half-baked wanna-be cool guy twang. "win, the crowd, and victory is yours." what a bunch of loser dribble. right up there with the awe-inspiring confidence bomb "why not us." this was a joke, and i thought it at the time, but didn't want to make a stink. Win the crowd?? Win the freaking game you boob! You don't win the crowd by losing...and you especially don't win the crowd by playing scared, and playing to the other team. Win the cro..SHUT UP! Get him out. he's gotta go. We play loser football. And its sad because we have some serious talent here on this squad. Ross as an owner could not have been worse...an absolute F for his first few years. He has embarrassed the club and made mistake after mistake. Unfortunately, we can't fire him. Just fire Sparano, and bring in some sort of mogul(not Carl Peterson), and get the F out the way. The Raiders, Lions, Bucs, and Panthers have surpassed us? Really? You sealed our fate this past winter Ross, you twit...You should have Fired Tony. No one is going to take another man's job. It has to be vacated. You F'ed us big time man. And fist pump mcgoo is just destroying our football soul. And a quiet part of me knew it, when he came out with this...his best stuff. blech, i wanna puke.
