    Need opinions!!!

Im in a 3 man keeper league, and keepers have to be in by Monday:
    Keeper1: Andre Johnson
    Keeper2: Aaron Rodgers

Wh would you keep as 3rd out of:
Reggie Bush, Legarret Blount, CEdreic Benson, Joe Addai

I think its a 2 horse race between Bush and Blount. But not sure who...
    Thoughts?

Anyone else here get in the finsiders league?

This YR Im in FFF1 (FINSIDERS FANTASY FOOTBALL). FFF1 which alot already know is with Jesse agler and Sam Madison. 12 team league so I was fortunate to be listening when they announced the info.

Looking for tips and cheat sheets for info to set my rankings. Its a NFL.com thing. Looking to represent the phins.com well.

Draft is Wed. sept 7 7:30pm

I'm looking at all sorts of players and there schedules but wow I started a bit late alot of info.

Agreed. I know some people are very high on Reggie Bush, but I think Blount is the safer (and smarter) selection.

I think looking at schedules is kinda pointless. Its just more information that you'll have to take in and its not worth very much. Quality of D's change each year plus by the time your player might go up against that team their star defender might be hurt.

As for cheat sheets, there are plenty around. ESPN, Yahoo!, CBS and I'm sure even NFL.com have them.

As stated above me you should pretty much ignore players schedules, maybe basic info like what top teams have weak schedules but other than that it's not worth the time investment imo.

I hope that the Links in the PM I sent you will be helpful.

    Hey guys,

Just got offered Hakeem Nicks and Beanie Wells for Shonn Greene and Mike Williams (TB). I'm leaning towards making the deal, but Beanie scares the s*it out of me (admittedly so does M. Williams - have a sinking feeling he's in for a Soph. slump).

    Thoughts?

Hey Guys and Gals, alot of opinions on Defenses. Whats your guys take on selecting a top defense a bit early, or just take whats there in the 2nd to last round and use the waiver wire for good matchups weekly? Im gonna take kicker last. TY

What does the rest of your RBs and WRs look like? You would be getting the best player in Nicks but I agree with you on Wells.

    Percy Harvin for Brandon Marshall?

I'm in a PPR league (0.5 per reception), also with return yards (10 yards per pt).

I got a guy to offer me Marshall for Harvin straight up even though he drafted Marshall in the 3rd ahead of Percy.

I think it's a good deal. Plus this guy seems like my toughest competition, and I play him in week 9 when Percy has a bye.

    Thoughts?

Id take it because I dont the Vikes will risk their #1 WR on returns as much this year knowing their WR corps are thin. But stuff like this should go in the fantasy football advice thread.

Trade for Marshall. Percy has migraine issues and there won't be as many return yards. Marshall had 86 catches in less than a full season and I wonder how much we can run the ball this year.

    Thanks guys.

I'm thinking 104 catches, 1200 yards, & 10 TDs for Brandon since he's our only legit redzone threat and Daboll will be taking shots in the endzone rather than settling for FGs. Not to mention the YAC TDs he'll have this year that were non-existent in 2010.

Sorry, Boik. I didnt realize there's a FF advice thread. You can move the thread; I'm accepting the trade.

I'd probably go with Felix Jones. I just think that the Redskins will be playing from behind so they'll be passing a lot...

I wouldn't expect those numbers from Marshal either if I were you. He doesnt have the best injury history either and no one really knows how this offense is going to do when the season starts. Not trying to be a downer just want to keep things in perspective. Fact is Percy has a better proven QB and we all know ppl will respect the Vikings running game.

    I would trade for Marshall.

And I would start Hightower instead of Jones. I have Jones rated higher for the season, but that matchup is tough. The Giants are an injured team and I expect Hightower to get over 100 yds and a TD.

Ok, here's the pickle I'm in. Need help with my WR3 this week. I got drunk during my first draft and forgot Sidney Rice was a Seahawk, that he has Tavaris Jackson throwing him the ball, that he just got a huge contract, and have since been notified he has a bum shoulder. Why I drafted this epic BUM is beyond me, but if he can't go which of these other BUMS to fill in for him?

Johnny Knox - healthiest of the lot, but still listed as a reserve. Should I trust the Bears depth chart?

Steve Smith (Eagles) - Getting 1st team reps reportedly, but how many snaps will that surgically repaired knee actually get?

Michael Crabtree - Also gimpy and may or may not play.

Not a great situation, for sure. There are guys on the waiver who would probably be better options for this week, but all these guys have too much upside to cut bait with, IMHO.

From how things have progressed I didn't think Smith or Crabtree would play this week, either way they would scare me without a definite answer before kickoff. So that would make Knox the most attractive out of the three to me, just because of health. I drafted Crabtree late as well and holding on to see.

Yeah I'm leaning Hightower even though Jones is the better player and will probably end the year with more points. Jets D is pretty good and Giants seem to lose a guy on defense every day. I also think Redskins play better against the Giants than some think, and at the moment Hightower is the unquestioned starter and Washington should run plenty of times. I could see Felix maybe taking a screen at the right time against a blitz and getting a good chunk with that or a few dumpoffs, but betting on one scenario is a little risky.

    Thanks for the opinions.

Yeah I agree I would take Knox as well.

Help me out with my D, should I roll with the Packers against the Saints or pick up the Browns or 9ers who play Cincy and Seattle respectively?

Rolling with the Browns D myself this week, just seems safe with everything going on and I didn't trust Miami's D against the Pats (and Texans/Chargers in the following weeks).

Steve Smith is probably the best option. Knox was benched in favor of Roy Williams.

Addai? Got him in my team alongside Bradshaw & Hightower. Does his value rise or fall now Peyton is out? Will the Colts turn to their run game giving him more carries?

Who to start this week? Mike Thomas of Jacksonville or Davone Bess (please no bias), just what do you guys think my best option is. Oh and It's only 0.25 PR.

    Thanks

I would start Knox. I think he's behind an out of shape Williams in name only, but will actually get more snaps.

I would start Williams although it's close. He's the #1 guy there, but their QB situation is a nightmare.

I'd go Thomas... they have a lot less options in Jacksonville and Thomas is the clear-cut #1 receiver.

I wouldn't feel good with Thomas or Bess, but think I'd go Thomas as well. Miami might spread it around a little more and Thomas is a higher priority in that offense.

Thanks for the help guys. Agree Knox is probably our best bet, despite his depth chart placement. I think they're just trying to motivate him. It'll be interesting to see what Smith and Crabtree do this week. I'm really disappointed in myself for drafting Sidney Rice. And I'm paying the price for breaking my don't draft the guy who just got a huge contract rule. No motivation to play through bumps and bruises whatsoever.

What are your opinions for week 1? If I had known Sproles was gonna have such a big week I would have started him =/

    Pick 3:
Ray Rice - Vs - Pit
    Beanie Wells - Vs- Car
Jahvid Best - Vs - TB
    Felix Jones - Vs- Jets
    Reggie Bush - Vs- Pats

Helps to know your scoring setup, but I'd say Beanie and Best for sure. Coin flip between Felix and Bush. I would stay away from Ray Rice this week.

Those are my five running backs this week, need to pick three of the five. It's a good problem to have I think and hoping to maybe trade one of them for a good WR, but for now that's my RB stable to pick from.
