Owen Daniels < Gronkowski Texans backup TE < Hernandez. Schaub isn't brady. Hes good, and capable of big plays, but he can't micro-manage like Brady. That's something only Brady and Manning can do. Schaub cannot, although it plays into our favor if he tries to IMO. The texans run a much more conventional offense. They don't have the welkers and gronkowskis and woodheads like the pats. Their offense is capable of big plays but they won't have the same success at all. Our LBs will show they can cover TEs IMO, i think its unfair to judge them on whether or not they could cover the pats TEs. Johnsons a freak and with our CB play, that is scary to think about, but im hoping for a bonce back in that area. They're better than this. THe texans Oline will not protect schaub as well either. You gotta give it up to the rookie Solder tonight. He kept wake at bay all night and theres no doubt they were trying to exploit the rookie. The texans won't have the same success stopping wake IMO. Hopefully the rest of the team chimes in with some pass rush as well but I am certain Wake individually will have a much better game.
I jinxed this first game. I told my friend if we start out 1-1 that I would rather beat Houston than NE since we have never beat them and I just hate the Texans.
I don't think we were favored in '07. And we still managed to lose due to Kris Brown's 3 or 4 50 yard FGs.

It's going to be a score ****-fest. If the Dolphins are still healthy I think they win it. They will beat Cleveland in week 3 though.

Can they manufacture any pressure? Man I miss the old days when the defense always knew what they were doing, especially that 06 defense. They blanked that ****er Brady. By the way this Patriot team's speed on their no-huddle was reminiscent of the old Bills.
If our defense plays even close to as bad as we played Monday Night we will have to put up at least 28 points to win, I think we can but hopefully our defense shows some pride and prepares like this is the Superbowl.
Tell yourself that if it makes you feel better. The Texans have more than enough offensive firepower to exploit this sorry defense.
The Texans defense is not an ideal matchup for our struggling OL....we need Daniel Thomas to come back strong.
Something I don't get...if you're having trouble getting pressure, don't you want to start jamming the receivers to delay their routes? I don't think I saw a single jam coverage all night.
I wondered the same thing. I think we need to see another game before fully judging both sides of the ball (Henne playing great and the defense sucking ***).
You never know, the script could get flipped. We hold the Texans to 17 but have 3 turnovers and score only 14 points. I put nothing past this team
