This stat is flawed. I don't understand how if a QB throws the exact same pick in the exact same situation his TQBR is dependent on whether the defense stops the other team. That seems like a measure of how good your team is rather than how good your QB is playing.

You guys are funny with your Sanchez envy. Doesn't matter that your team got smacked at home on national TV as long as Henne has better stats than Sanchez. Too funny.

How did that dip-**** Romo manage that high? he should be down there with Sanchez. :D

I do like this method of QB rating better. Nice work!

The reason we do this is because the media floats him up there like he's some kind of Marino, Elway or Montana, that's why. It's BS. That is all ...

Interesting his rating is so similar to Brees'. Our game and that Thursday night game were mirror images of each other in many ways. Dominant, unstoppable passing performances by passers who the other team wanted and needed to get pressure on but couldn't. Missed opportunities in the red zone and in short yardage that came back to haunt them. 400+ yards passing in a losing effort. Not saying Henne is Brees, obviously. But those performance were more than tangentially similar to each other.

Maybe I don't watch and read the same thing you guys do, but i have never seen him compared to Marino, Elway or Montana.

Best of luck to Henne. I hope he turns into your next Marino, complete with all those SB rings ;)

Sanchez doesn't win football games, his defense wins the games. As long as that point is understood then I don't see how Sanchez is at all a good QB. His career #'s are pretty poor and if he was on any other team outside of the Jest he wouldn't even be mentioned. It is all media nonsense....just like hardly anyone in the media is talking about how Henne had a great night and looked to one of the best QB's in week one. Granted we lost but still Henne's performance was A+

I never said he did. The point is that I'd rather have a winning team than a losing team with a QB that has impressive stats.

  25. Fin fans have been saying this for 2 years now, and the result is the same, the team wins when they need it. I dont think Sanchez is elite, average at best, be benefits from the great defense.

Me to, but Henne was soo good against NE that if he were to continue playing like that, miami is going to win more games than we lose this season. It was an impressive showing. And like yourself, I don't think this thread needed to have anything to do with Sanchez. Hennes performance can stand on its own.

But will Henne keep this play up? Who knows. But if he does miami will be a winning team. Its not a maybe, its a definite. He keeps going down field, standing tall in the pocket and making big throws then we're going to win. Except when we play the pats again. I refuse to believe anybody elses offense will be capable of hurting our defense like that. Could be wrong but I don't see it.

I agree, I just don't know if NE's D is any good. Probably better than Buffalo but not as good as the Jets. I think we need a running game to support Chad and I am not sure Bush is a 25/game carry guy. Thomas cannot learn the offense and LJ has old legs. We desperately need the running game, helps run clock when we get a lead and helps in play action, etc.

It was stupid not to bring back Ronnie Brown.

I recall way before the draft I was pushing for us to take Cam. Of course then Luck was the fave to be #1 and Cam was a mid to late first rounder and I was basically flying solo with that thought process (taking him #1 for the Fins). Then Cam moved up and the point was moot. But he is going to be good. He is not a bad kid at all, he has tremendous atheltic ability, great arm and strong leadership skills. He is basically an athletic Ben Rothlisberger with quicker feet. UGGHGHGHG and he is wallowing in Carolina! DAMMIT. Brady is done in 3-4 years and if we had Cam we'd be ruling the AFC for the next 10. I think Chad could be OK but he'll never be a top 10 QB. NEVER. Meaning unless the D improves substantially and we get a sick running game, we will not win. I bet by the time Brady calls it quits, NE will have developed Mallett to where is excellent. So sad.

The reason I ***** about Sanchez is they talk him up lik he is this great qb. They all say NYJ are contenders because of ryan and talent and they have their qb. Honestly I think Sanchez is going to be good, as much as it pains me. I just think he is praised a little too much in comparison to hat he himself has warranted to this point. I want to see Sanchez have to be the Jets offense vs a very good team for a whole game or series of games and then we will see how good he is. he may handle it well, but he hasnt yet. For all teh criticism henne has received, we have asked an awful lot of him early

Hate to agree but the bottom line is that the Jets win and we don't. Anyway you want to slice it, it's fact. Unless we want to argue the definition of what "win" means. ;)

I think we all need to give credit to Dabolfor taking the handcuffs off Henne and letting him be the QB that he can be. Very impressive outing for Chad. Thank God we don't have Henning calling the plays anymore. He was just a momentum killer!

If Fitzpatrick was on the Jets they would be in the Superbowl. Sanchez is the only reason they are not and will not reach the superbowl. Great Team, Great Coaching, Bad QB. Sanchez is the only QB at that bottom who's team won. QBR rates a QB performance for winning a game. Jets won because of Def and Special Team.
