i really thought the oline did not play that bad as some here make it, henne for the most part had a nice pocket to step into, yeah he got hit, but thats whats happens to QB`s , i´m not really ready to crucify them for the running game, because they didnt really try to run anyways
How many years have those guys played in the NFL? Didn't they all play in college too? I'm all for acknowledging Brady's greatness, but he set multiple records last night. That's beyond having just "a typical" good game.
Was Nolan Carroll the first 2nd year player Brady has ever faced? Because Brady set personal & NFL records last night after 10+ years in the league...
What I want to know is did anyone expect Jake to be in ProBowl form after not playing the entire preseason? Carroll and Sapp weren't worth much but what troubles me more is why Carroll was even out there. How could Vontae's conditioning be that bad that he had to sit out nearly the entire 2nd half with cramps! WTF!
I just dont know what Carroll has to offer. Id rather have Allen because I bet Wilson gets more playing time than Carroll by the end of the season. Carroll just hasnt taken the next step.
I'm not upset by the fact we're 0-1 as much as how it happened. I know the Patriots are a better team, but our defense let us down. It's ok to call out some defensive players when they lay an egg like that. It doesn't matter how many years you've been playing - if you're in the NFL you're expected to be able to cut the mustard. Allowing personal, franchise, MNF, and league records to all be broken isn't "growing pains" from being a 2nd year corner or a journeyman safety - it's poor conditioning and a lack of talent at this level. Carroll was a 6th round draft pick who probably wouldn't still be with the team if he wasn't an asset as a kick returner, and Sapp was the odd-man-out in a Minnesota pass defense ranked 28th. Let's just hope Vontae and Sean can get their fitness back because we know what our depth looks like.
Just 8 months ago, Brady was mortal and him being beat in the playoffs was nothing to applaud. Now he is Montana, Marino and Unitas rolled into one and sprinkled with Jesus dust.
For me the problem is that NC had a terrible pre season , at least in the games. Sparano of course disagreed and said he had a really good training camp. Expecting NC to perform at even an adequate level in a situation such as last night was foolish imo. Will Allen in 2 games made plays , and showedquickness , decisiveness and game knowlwedge , now maybe they felt he was hurt or would be again , however he wasn't showing that the last 2 pre season games. Not having quality DB's is a real issue that goes against this regime , so no , not a surprise but still a negative imo.
3rd? LMAO! You mean behind the Pats and the Bills? You need to focus on your team not having a Top 10 pick more than the Jets position. Clearly, clearly you are obsessed with them. Not to mention we actually applied more pressure against Romo than you guys did against Brady. You really need to get your facts straight for a guy who pretends he knows everything about every sport. I've also seen Davis get beat numerous times by the #3 and #4 WR. Sorry, you're not cutting it this time.
Sorry, but there is no way in hell the Pats finish anywhere but first this year, not with that offense.
No excuse for either one, but Carrol (#28) is a second year player who is still being developed. Sapp (#29) is a vet and he gave up TWO TDs. Jake is still not fully healthy, imo. Which is concerning.
People have to say those things to make themselves feel better. The fact is the immortal Tom Brady and his best offense in history haven't won a playoff game in years. The fact is that the blueprint for beating them is there. Nobody has become better over the past ten years at making excuses for incompetence than the Miami Dolphins fanbase. Brady is great but no team should be giving up 500+ yards to him in one game if they think they are a real team that is going to do anything besides finish last. I'm pretty sure he plays some other bottom half defenses or young players this year, I guess he's going to pass for 6 or 7000 yards this season.
and the "greatest defensive player of all-time" got toasted by Dez Bryant and then got his *** saved by Dez' weak hamstring. I don;t understand your point. I know you are trying to troll, but you are so bad at it, that I am not sure you are. and yes...do not forget that your team was getting blown out at home by a mediocre NFC team, and needed the opposing team to rig the game for you to win. At least my team lost to a 14-2 defending Div. champ. YES. your team was not impressive. I understand that part of being a Jet fan is the delusional aspect of it, but I suggest that you prepare yourself for the real possibility that you will finish 3rd. As for our matchup, the Dolphins own the Jets, so all I am worried about is getting the sweep and not splitting like last year.
Not to be a dick, but our defense and corners are A LOT better than the Dolphins. We know how to play against the Pats*.
The way you play the Pats is because you can stop the run. You are committed to it. Your actual players aren't necessarily better. You got destroyed 45-3 at some point, Miami can get this together.
Your giving respect to Darrelle and you barely know it. He beat Revis once for about a 20 yard catch. Davis got burned NUMEROUS times by Slater who happens to be #4 on the depth chart. You honestly have no idea what the game of football is about. We played a horrible game in New York and yet this resilient team finds a way to win because we're GREAT. It sucks that you're jealous because I can definitely see it. 37 years old and he's still on a message board! LOL
No..actually..they are NOT. slightly better is a better description, and that is yet to be seen after that performance by your vaunted defense at home vs. the Cowboys. Your team lost 45-3 last year to them..remember?
And then we dominated them in the playoffs..remember? Go watch tape of Davis getting burned again. THANK YOU!
It won't matter none, the Pats offense came out like mad hornets against us on Monday night, imagine how they will be against the Jets, a team that painfully eliminated them last year in the playoffs, Brady has already said about 100 times how that loss has fueled their motivation all offseason. I am not being a dick when I say the first game you guys play them could be a complete nightmare for the Jets.
I have forgotten more football than you ever knew. It is not possible for me to be jealous of anything. message boards are not for 37 year olds?
I can watch tape of Revis getting burned by Tedd Ginn too if you want to play that game. Your team will never win anything. You know why? because of YOU. The Jet fan will NEVER allow it. it is Karma. CONGRATULATIONS!
Sorry man, you're not cutting it. Quite disappointed in you; I thought I taught you better than that.
We're talking about the Jets. The same team that will play the NFL All-Team in their prime and compete. I'm not worried man. This is the best I ever felt about this franchise.
Absolutely not. However, they are part of the 'building stick' that leads to the Super Bowl. Chad Henne has never sniffed the playoffs.
I'm done talking to a 37 year old man who sits by his computer all day pretending he knows everything about every sport. I will no longer respond to your irrelevant and meaningless posts.
