Slater is a #4 WR probably because he's inconsistent and doesn't have the abilities of Ochocinco, Welker, & Branch consistently. He is incredibly fast thought and has that ability to stretch the field. The fact Vontae was beat twice isn't some magical thing, nor is it a testament to him sucking.

Darelle Revis was burned by Ted Ginn Jr. on MNF. Ted Ginn beat him a few other times again in NY, but Henne was unable to deliver the ball. Revis received help over the top against Dez Bryant that game, and against Ted Ginn. Does that make him terrible? No. It is what it is.

So, you saying that Slater beat Vontae is a testament to how poor he is, really doesn't show anything except that he has flaws like any other player--particularly the same flaws that Revis can be beat on.

Also, Nnamdi Asmougha was beat by some unknown Rams WR and he needed to commit PI to prevent a TD. Doesn't mean he sucks. It just means that sometimes speed can really get on a CB quickly.

I still believe our Front 7 is more talented than the NYJ. I think it has more depth also. On the back end, I think the Jets have more talent and much better communication. If you could fuse the two, you'd have an amazing defense.

I think our run defense is better. I think our pass rush will be more consistent. I think the Jets pass defense is better.

Good God, you know when someone is delusional when they say "We're talking about the Jets" as if we are talking about the New England Patriots and not a team who has not won a SB - forget about getting to the game - before 90% of the members in this forum were born.

Losing AFC Championship games does not make a team special in any way. Ask the Philadelphia Eagles if you don't think so.

Honestly, I couldn't agree more with this post, and I applaud you! You, my friend, at least know the game and understand it. I never meant Davis was a bad player and I think he's a very good corner. I never said Davis was a bad player because he got burned.

The one poster on here criticized Darrelle Revis because he gave up a catch against one of the best wideouts in the game in Dez Bryant. THat's the only reason why I brought up Davis getting burned.

As for the Jet corners, lets face it..Revis is a top 2 corner. He is either the best or the second best behind Asomuagh.

But Cromartie is a boom or bust guy. and truth be told, he is burned regularly. He gives up more touchdowns than he has kids.

Dez Bryant is one of the best WR's in the game?? By that logic that would mean Colt McCoy is one of the best QB's in the game, who knew??

I disagree. He's injury prone and he'll get in his own way. In two years, the same WR's at the top of their game will still be at that point--AJ, CJ, & Fitzgerald.

Dez Bryant will prevent Dez Bryant from being as good as he could become. The guy is a mess.

You all indicate how the Dolphins have the "Jets number" and keep referring to the Jets-Pats blowout regular season game from last season. This is makes you guys even more irrelevant. You guys are so stuck on the regular season it's not even a joke anymore.

The last two seasons..The Jets went FURTHER than both the Dolphins and Pats. End of discussion.

The last time the Jets were in the Super Bowl Simon & Garfunkel's Mrs Robinson was on the charts, Richard Nixon and just started his first term as president, we haven't even landed on the moon yet, Sesame Street was in it's first year, please tell us again how the Jets are relevant?

Currently they are due to the fact they actually make the playoffs and COMPETE. You guys on the other hand are going to struggle to win 4-6 games this season.

And that makes you as relevant as the Eagles during the McNabb years, in other words you got zilch to hang a hat on so stop acting like you do.

And you would be well advised to learn a thing or two about class from a Jets fan like Bickety Bam and stop acting like a non-stop tool that you are.

I would rather watch my team make playoff runs every year than wrestle with .500 obviously....but I wouldnt be pumping my fist about it until it results in a Super Bowl.

Allow me to reiterate what I have said earlier..it is obvious that this guy should have been banned a long time ago..But I BEG of the admins..DO NOT CAN HIM, NO MATTER WHAT.

Keep him here...unless he doesn't man up and show up after the Jet's NEXT failure/debacle. (it's coming soon)

Besides, having him here, reminds us all that there are alot of people less fortunate than us.

As a whole, the Jets history has been pretty poor outside of a momentous Super Bowl win all those years ago. But in recent years, they are a well run franchise.

    Brady - 321 yards passing, Green-Ellis - 136 yards rushing, Pats - 30 points and 446 total yards.

Nah, I see your point now, great defensive effort today.
